I HAVE USED THIS CAMERA EXTENSIVELY FOR THE PAST 8 MONTHS. THE IMAGE QUALITY IS EXCELLENT. ESPECIALLY IN THE SHQ 3200 X 2400 RESOLUTION SETTING. IN THIS MODE 16X20 PRINTS ARE STUNNING! THE OLYMPUS WITH AN IKELITE HOUSING HAVE CAUSED ME TO RETIRE MY NIKONOS SYSTEM FOR UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHY. Problems: NONE NOTED

I have taken more than 2000 photos over the past 4 months since I bought this digi-camera. Camera operation is logical thus making the learning process easy. Image is sharp and the colour is very natural. I have made many excellent 4 R prints with images captured through a 1024 x 768 Pixels (SQ2) setting on high resolution. The clarity and quality of those prints surpass equivalent 35mm prints captured with my Olympus SLR. Problems: There is a noticeable delay in shutter response. Many ...

This camera is an amazing piece of construction and quality. I have researched many cameras in this price range and have found that a lot of them are made of plastic. This I would think is not the right material for a fine piece of craftmanship. Some people say that this camera looks outdated. But why fix something that is not broke. This camera works great. Fantastic Images, very easy to use, super easy to connect to a computer. The Olympus is a camera that can be used from the ...

I am a beginner of using Digital camera. I chose Olympus mainly because of the big aperture. Problems: I am happy with the picture quality but I have a very bad experience. After shooting about 400 pictures, I found two dead point on the CCD. Do anyone here has the same experience?

Love it! This camera is very versatile. It does everything I wanted it to do and more. Love the mini movie feature... It's like having a videocamera on top of a cam. Great quality pics at an affordable price and it's easy to use!!! Problems: none

Used the C-4040Z for about 1000 shots and am very satisfied. I found out that SHQ JPEG gives great color photos with my Epson Stylus Phot 890 inkjet printer. The higher resoluton pays back in photolab like pictures. The pseudo macro features are great. Most interesting is the panorama feature, I made truly great pictures. Try it, you will amazed. Also indoors with normal daylight or at night with tungsten light, set white balance at tungsten or incadescent, the pictures are great unbelievable ...

I started out with the olympus c2000 went onto c3030 and now the c4040. All were great since I started with the c2000, I liked using olympus for the great picture quality. Its a great overall camera id say for a user that just want good quality pictures to take with the family and friends. Not for professionals, however, pretty close. The best feature I like is the remote control for taking pictures that include myself. Not too many cameras come with that features and the ones that do you ...

Extremely happy with ease of use and superb pictures under all kinds of conditions. Results for putting teaching resources on a web-based database are always better than we culd ever do with a film camera. The handbook is excellent but I had to print and bind it off the CD-ROM for easier reference. Do other cameras come with a full printed manual at all? Digital zoom turns out to be a cropping tool only and I am pleased I was sold a telephoto attachment lens with the camera. But macro work ...

The model looks a bit dated, but it's hightech in disguise. After reading many reviews and tests we ended up with this camera. We chose it for it's superieur bright lens (1.8!) We tried it - and it works great. With slim light/bad light the pictures came out perfect. And when the flash-light was needed, we haven't seen any overexposed foregrounds and/or underexposed backgrounds. Colours are very natural, sharpness is excellent. Nobody believes the enlargments we made from our vacation-photos ...

Is a bit tricky in bad light conditions and for settings with different lights, Nikon appears better for that. Though image quality is sharper and i take much better pictures with this camera than I do with the Coolpix 995. When viewing large resolution images on your monitor, use a GOOD viewer program that has _good_ algorithm for downsizing the images to fit your screen size. (this goes for all digital cameras..) http://www.naturnett.org/photos/ <- All images here taken with C4040z, though ...
