I've had this camera for about a year and I'm not that thrilled with it. The optics are not very good, chromatic abberations are common, distortion very noticeable. Fortunately the software allows you to correct the distortion. No amount of processing has been able to remove the purple fringing though. The maximum focal length is a little too short for my liking as well. I find the color to be sorely lacking too. Very dull. Can't seem to push the images much either indicating poor ...

After more than 1000 photos and a year of owning this camera, I'm still glad that I chose it over the competition. Only now are other brands coming to the market with cameras as fully-featured as the C3030Zoom. PROS: The image quality is great; the best selling point of a digital camera is that it is easy to take great pictures every time. You might be able to beat a digital camera with film in any given situation, but the average user doesn't have the skill to do this. I can simply point ...

Excellent picture quality, have many creative controls and advance functions e.g. exposure braketing options, slow-syn flash, options to fire flash at the beginning of exposure / at the end of exposure. I have been using DCs (Kodak DC265, DC4800, Canon S20) for about 3 years, this is the one I love the most. The on-screen menu is very user-friendly. I have not read the menu-book but I am able to use all the functions of the camera easily. Problems: I have to remind myself not to turn on ...

I have had the C3030 for 12 months and use it constantly. The camera is easy to use and does more than I expected. I always use the highest resolution and have gotten excelent prints up to 11" X 14". Needless to say I love it. Problems: The only down side is in taking action shots. I probably need more practice.

Oympus got quality problems. Problems: Camera broke down after 2 days out of the box. Viewfinder is dead. No, it's not a the battery. Camera emitting a clicking sound and a foul odor like something is overheating.

I love my C3030. It is fast, versatile and most of all, it takes excellent image quality. There are so many camera's out there that I have tried and used and upon seeing, reading the reviews and trying, this is a great camera for the money. 3.3 mega pixel camera good enough for 8x10 prints! A perfect match with my Epson photo 870 printer. It has 32MB internal buffer that allows you to take 3.5fps which I think is much faster than it's rival, the Nikon 990. The body looks like an SLR ...

Have had the 3030 for a week and like it so much, am looking the upgrade to the 3040 for the faster lens. Detailed images are great.Shot celebs last week on assignment (used Nikon F4s for most) and client asked if I had digital with me and I thought "...might as well practice while working...." and the shots were very nice. Client was pleased to be able to post immediately to their web-site. I was most impressed with the ease of operation of this camera. Looking forward to using the faster ...

I had the camera fo 10 month, excellent pictures, easy to use (one hand is all you need).great depth of field, despite the fact that I could not duplicate the picture quality that Phil shpwed, I still do it all over. great in my practice for patients before and after photos. Problems: my beach pictures were slightly over exposed, and less color saturation, compared to in-doors, I might need to practice more!

I've had the camera for 6 months and find that I lose 25-50% of any pictures I take. Bad or truncated JPG headers. Camidia program crashes on bad files. I at first thought it was because of the USB connection. After I got a smartmedia reader, I discovered that the problem was not the connection. Olympus tech support is slow and difficult to get an answer from. Once I got someone on the phone the procedded to tell me that I needed a new computer. Problems: 25-50% picture loss due to bad ...
