Opinion: great camera, very good quality pictures, simple to use, sufficient options on the menus, ive had it for a few years now, and its still working fine, still keeps up with todays fast developing cameras.
Problems: no real problems, menu maybe limited for some,
Opinion: I've been using this camera for 30 months now, for business and hobby purposes and it has given me excellent results without a moment of trouble. I'm very impressed with the images even on the second-best level, which allows me about 30 images to a 64 mb card. I've dropped it a couple of times and it's survived.
This camera has taken me through from the serious several megapixel digital era to the digital SLR that I'm about to buy. But I wouldn't give the old Olympus to my best friend - I'm keeping it for snapping days.

all at C-300 best ever in 3Mpix Cameras...
Problems: no problems
Opinion: This is the best all round camera I've tested.
Battery life is grand. Lasts for a week of shooting.
128 Mb memory is recommended = 170 pictures.
This camera outdoes many modern 5, 6 Mpix cameras when it comes to low light conditions and focus depth.
The automatics are great. AF, AE, White balance = wow!
Mine broke after it was dropped into the floor.
But I am purchasing 2 new ones on Ebay for petty cash.
Invest in one for your kid, spouse or just to keep handy.
I always carried mine in my trouser pocket.

The bulge works for the ladies aswell.
Problems: I lack sound recording.
A speed dial would have been nice.
But the picture quality speaks for itself.

Opinion: Excelent camera!
I won 2 photography awards with this camera;
great built-in creative features (the slow obturation time on low light conditions returns surprinsing images)
Problems: for it's features, just excellent camera
i recommend it to the begginers, for taking a one year tour of image experiencing - aiming to the second step in photography experience ranking
Opinion: I've had this camera for about 1 and a half years now and it was well worth the money. At first the shots came out a bit blurry, but that was before I discovered that you need to hold down the button half-way to focus lock on the subject. After that, the shots have come out consistently good.
Battery life is pretty good (using 1700mAh NIMH batteries) with the LCD on -- I tend to get somewhere between 3-5 hours continuous shooting. With the LCD off, it literally can last a week or two without a recharge while using the camera everyday.
minor quibbles:
sliding cover leaves streaks on the body after a decent amount of use
a tad bulky compared with other cameras, but not horrible
LCD isn't as sharp as other cameras
no mic to record sound for the movies
Opinion: The c300z is the same as the d500z....I've had this camera for 7 months and have taken over 500 pictures. I also ordered 4 x 6 prints from dotphoto.com (18 cents USD/pic if you order in bulk...shipping was $8 USD to Canada...but when you don't buy film, you get only the pics you want....and you don't have to leave the house....it becaomes worth it)...these turned out beautifuly (just as good as 35 mm)...most were taken with the default automatic setting. I have also found this camera to be very useful in athletics...the short videos with frame by frame playback allowed me to analyze my long jump technique in competion and practice...it is also useful for the golf swing...and I'm sure many other sports...
...the panoramic function allows 10 pictures to be stiched together with the software on the computer....this allows beautiful shots 180 degrees of the horizon from the top of a mountain (make sure you take them from right to left)
....the battery life with NiMh is amazing....I can fill a 128mb and a 16mb smartmedia card without having to recharge...also because it's AA you can take normal batteries as back-up.....batery life of course depends on how much you use the display on the back....but I find even if I use the video function at a track meet all day I don't run out of battery power..... (I realize other cameras may be more compact...but make sure you can use AA...)
...the other cool thing is when you hook the camera up to the TV and allow a room full of people to see all the pics from your weekend trip....
If you haven't gone digital yet I definately reccomend it.....you may spend $500 CDN now...but you'll be able to pick and choose which pics to keep...email them to family and friends, never buy film again, have your prints delivered to your door....
Problems: When asking random people to take pictures of my friends and I...they can't figure the camera out because you have to hold the button down half way...wait for the green light which means it's in focus.... and then press it all the way down to allow the picture to take.....
...if you are taking an action shot you have to have the button pressed down half way before the action takes place...
...indoor pictures don't always turn out as nice as I would like...but bad indoor lighting affects all cameras like this...maybe if I play around with the settings it will work better....
Opinion: This camera is really a good pick for anybody who needs a point-and-shot device. It's unbeatable for the price (abt EUR 300.00 in Switzerland if you can still find one). The images are outstanding, and contrary to Nikon's entry level camera, it's NOT a red-eyes making machine.
Excellente machine, meilleur que Nikon pour l'entrée de gamme. Ne pas hésiter, les prix sont très intéressants...
Problems: Not really a problem, but since I've the machine always with me, I'm afraid the relatively light made body will support all the constraints....
Boîtier peut-être un peu léger si comme moi vous l'avez toujours sur vous....
Opinion: Good camera, have it for two months now. Have got good quality pictures. I've put some of my pictures here:
http://emerp.tripod.com - only for "Fortaleza" I used it, so go straight to it. Good camera for the price.
Problems: Takes a bit long to become ready when turned on, around 5 seconds. Some times it's not possible to fill in a 128MB smart media with a single charge on my 1700mA NiMH brand new batteries, I managed to take up to 150 photos with a single charge.
