When I first bought it, it was a good point-n-shoot camera. It's a digital camera but has a lot of 35mm functions. Problems: Bulky, poor power consumption, and multiple problems the SM card reader.

My mother in law purchased this camera when it was first released so I had some experience with it before I purchased mine. Quite simply I feel in love with the camera's picture quality. For a 3.3MP, the colors are pretty true even in standard quality res. I purchased mine from Ebay in gently used condition for $200 with lots of extras and I am extremely satisfied. Problems: It's not really a problem, but the camera has a lot automatic features that seem a little complicated. I am still an ...

I was given this camera 2 1/2 years ago as a gift. I've shot a lot of film, but it was my first digital camera. The image quality can be superb under the right conditions. The camera has a lot of flexibility, but some of it is a real pain to use, compared to an old SLR. I have gotten some superbly sharp, brilliantly colored photos with this camera, every bit the equal of images from my old film cameras. Problems: I've read the reviews of this camera, but not much else on this board. I've ...

Bought the camera 3 years ago after I used a 35 mm Reflexcamera for 2 decades. From the first picture I took, I was amazed by the gret image quality and the features. Even now I discover some nice features. This camera is really value for its money. All my friends are amazed with the quality of my pictures after every trip I make during the holidays. Problems: When the batteries are flat, the lens doesn't return anymore to its starting position which can be quite disturbing when no 'fresh' ...

I have three years experience with this camera and I am surprised to find nothing else new that surpasses it's image quality in this calss! You cannot go wrong with this camera. For $7 I added a Bushwacker lens cover/cap and now have a camera that is bullet proof! Also the battery life is incredible! Two rechargable batteries from Walmart have lasted me three years and take about 200 pictures between charges! Problems: I was 100% happy until I recently used a sony 85 and relized that my 3000z ...

I've had the camera for 2 years, and never posted a review :-) The c3000 was great for its price 2 years ago, and still offers good image quality by todays standards. No bleedin focus assist light: this one doesn't need it. Plenty of add-on lenses (tele/wide/macro) available. Ttl external flash (not just Olympus, but also the promaster or my own metz flash). Manual focus, s-priority, a-priority, full manual, iesp or spot metering. The usual flash, macro and other modes. It has pretty much ...

Just bought this camera on UBID, paid $309.00 and for the money spent, I am impressed with the performance of this little machine considering I paid twice that for my Sony Mavica. I have always been a Minolta SLR fan and am impressed that I get the same quality pictures with this digital camera. Sharp, clear, clean pictures and using the 128mb smartmedia flashcard I am able to store way more pictures than with previous digitals. There are a couple things about Olympus I'm not thrilled about. ...

It took me a while to be convinced to go digital after having used 35mm film for nearly two decades. Besides, digicams are still expensive, but was pleasantly surprised when I found bargains on ebay.com. I got my C3000Z only in June 2002, and I’m sooo happy with it. I’ve never touched my SLRs since then. Colors are excellent. The lens is sharp as can be. Macro capability is beyond my expectation. Also great for taking pictures in available light, or even at night without the use of tripods. ...
