I'll just go down the list of ratings and how I rated them. Construction: I rated this average because of one thing that really just bugs me. The extended lens. It's not just that it extends into the lens cover and makes rattling sounds. But the plastic tube that surrounds it. It's ultra cheap. I can actually rattle it around the lens when it is extended. Speaking as a novice, I have been pleased with the features of the C-3000Z. I initally was going to buy the highly recommended Nicon 990 or Canon S20. However upon closer examination I found the split design of the Nicon cumbersome and I thought the S20's colors were unimpressive. The bottom line for me is image quality and my family and I have been very pleased with the C-3000Z. It has all the features I need and the remote is VERY useful.
