I bought my first C2100 in 2002. It was stolen 3 years later but I found a mint used one at a reasonable price, so I bought it. The last 4 years I have been using a higher MP DSLR, but I still use the C2100 on occasion. I transfer all of my digital pics from the camera to my computer, and when I view all of my pics I am amazed at the quality of those from the C2100 as compared to those from the DSLR. Why Olympus never brought out upgraded versions of the C2100 is beyond me. If they ...

I bought this camera when it first came out and loved it then, but things move on and I upgraded regularly over the years so eventually 2.1 megapixels seemed insubstantial and I gave the camera to a friend who was studying photography. Now in 2010, even though I have a number of great cameras ( my main D-SLR is a Canon 7D ) I always missed my UZI and just this week I managed to find a mint condition model on ebay which I now have in my posession, I will not be giving it away or selling it ...

This is one of my favorite cameras of all time. It is 2009 and 2.1 MegaPixels doesn't bother me one bit! Just bought a used but MINT one yesterday for 75 US Dollars - also came with a 128mb smartmedia card. Can't wait to shoot with it again. Had a new one back in 2001/2002 and missed it. That big rubber grip feels so good! This camera was cutting edge when it was out, and its quality still shines today.

My Olympus C 2100 just arrived from an Ebay seller who sold it to me for only $135 in mint condition with five 64mb Smartmedia cards and a UV filter, nowadays it may seem like a lot of money for a 2MP camera even with it's 10X zoom and obsolete memory system but I love it's still futuristic design and it's "ahead of it's time" technology like an electronic viewfinder and image stablization, things we take for granted today in digital cameras. Would love to hear from other owners who bought ...

I LOVED THIS CAMERA!!! Our family has had this camera since it was released, paid $1350 for it back in the day, and it was worth every penny. Great colours, fast burst mode, 10X optical zoom - for those photographers who didn't have the cash for DSLR back in the day it was great. It's outdated now, but still remains my favourite Olympus to date! Problems: NONE!

Bought my first Olympus C2100UZ new several years ago. Was very pleased indeed with it. The resolution was excellent, and if I used the zoom carefully following the old Leica adage - ('fill the negative so that there will be no need to crop') it did everything I could possibly want. If you Google Pbase I got it2 you should find a picture taken with it. About a year ago, I got camera fever & traded the Olympus in for a Canon S1IS. (The store owner said that within a week, somebody came ...

I've used the 2100 for 12 months now, maybe 1000 photo's in that time, and have developed a real affection for it. Beautifully balanced, easy to hold and operate, tactile controls, super-smooth zoom mechanics and an incredible continuous shooting mode (thus UZI?) that's barely matched by even the most sophisticated of today's prosumer cameras. Fast, pin-sharp, rarely fooled autofocus; neutral saturation (cf Fujifilm); no shutter lag to speak of; sound AF assist lamp; powerful flash; very, ...
