Olympus C-21

Opinion: I use this one as a pint and shoot to get the idea for a proffesional picture...

It lacks of zoom, but I did a test with the 220 zoom and still the 21 has a better autofocus and macro and more quality pictures so still not beaten in his class (2.0/2.1 megapixels).
The battery's are no problem, use a GP Powerbank with at least the 1800 MHA battery and you survive easy 4 times a 64 mb memcard full pictures. But don't use the display that much!!!

I can only say I want to change the camera for a zoom one but still can't find a small quality strong and light super AF camera that can beat this one...

Opinion: Bought this camera in the fall of 1999, so I've had it for 3 years now. The CR-V3 batteries it needed were so new no store in town had them, nor could I find it on the Internet. Learned to use NiMH, found they trigger the camera's low battery warning after only a few shots but continue to work fine for many more. I can now buy CR-V3 batteries, of course, and even though they run $10 each, they seem to last a realy long time. I put one in before Thanksgiving and it lasted through the holidays! About the rest of the camera; I would say it is excellent. Outstanding image quality, easy enough to use for my non-technical girlfriend to be able to just point and shoot. I agree with the reviewer who said it takes good pictures without flash - great for when you can't eliminate 'red-eye' using that flash setting. No problems with the battery cover, but the lens cover seems to slide too easily sometimes, and it has partially slid up over the lens during a picture or two... but I can see the result and take another picture right away--that's the digital advantage, right? I paid full price ($700 US) for mine and it's been worth every penny.

Opinion: The C-21 is really good for holiday pictures with sunshine: shoot and forget. In most cases you've got a good picture.

Opinion: Ho comprato questa digicam nell'agosto 2000 e posso dire di essere abbastanza soddisfatto. La qualità delle immagini è ottima se si stampa a 300 dpi (A6), ma se si fanno degli ingrandimenti non conviene andare oltre al formato A5.

Opinion: Very good point and shoot light wieght camera. I have taken about 5000 shots and the results are pretty good. I very rarely get a bad picture and some are excellent.

Opinion: First digital, received as gift from overseas. Am extremely happy with photo results and "user-friendliness" overall, considering I was unable to rely the original manual that came in a foreign language...must reinstate how satisfied I am with the printed end product. Have not needed to rely on my 35mm (Olympic) automatic or photo labs in almost a year!

Opinion: I used this camera exactly for abour an year, and I'm pretty much satisfied. Its hue, and the tone .. I love it~! And, it's quite remarkable how this small lens makes all that happen.
I think it's very sensitive to light and the picture is taken actually lighter than the real. You don't really need to flash.
But, it doesn't zoom, and it has color contrast disorders when taking a red/green only pictures. And, don't count on this camera on taking a picture of running dogs and cats.

Opinion: I actually got this camera as a gift/standby. Other than the fact that it does not have a zoom (optical) I found that I was using it more often than my other camera (Olympus 3000). True batteries are doomed in this camera and it doesn't have a USM connection BUT, with a smart media reader, and an extra set of rechargables... it's smooth sailing. BY THE WAY.... watch the battery cover... it'll break on you

Opinion: This is the first digital camera I've owned, but not the first I've used. It produces superb results from a very compact package.
