I bring it along when scuba diving (using an Olympus U/W housing for 2020). Despite it is a little bulky (if housed in the U/W case) compared with the latest Sony model but I have no complaint about its picture quality. Battery life is long and I particular like that fact that it uses convention AA batteries (instead of proprietory ones cos they cost hefty). The price has come down by 30% since I bought it in July 2000, but it is one of those few items that I don't regret spending money on ...

I've bought the 2020 to replace my out-of-order Canon S10. The 2020 operates very quietly even during zooming. The speed of zoom is amazing: it is 2 to 3 times faster than the S10. Picture quality is amazing as well. The camera is generally easy to use. Problems: (1) The software supplied by Olympus is rubbish. (2) Viewing a photo along with the zoom in the display mode is a shame. The screen that moves when you press up/down/left/right is NOT continous. (3) Very slow when you try to play a ...

In a nutshell; It is the ONLY thing I have ever bought in my entire life (44 years) that I am completely happy with. Incredible picture quality and having complete manual exposure control available are what sold me on this camera. Problems: I have been using this camera since April 2000. It's been with me down in caves and on backpacking trips, in amusement parks, on boats and long road trips. I have yet to experience even a minor problem with. If it hung level on the neckstrap it would be ...

Well what can I say an overall excellent camera. The quality of the pics is excellent and it is a really fun camera to use. Only down point is the 8Mb card and no rechargeble batteries. But overall an excellent camera. Well Recommended Problems: None as of Yet

Having used this camera for six months now – I must say I’m very pleased with it. I’m more into travel photography and recently tried an all-digital 2 month venture to Asia, the heart of which was the C-2020. It did great, and my pictures were fairly pro quality, good and crisp. It has a bright 2.0-2.8 lens, which is above average. I love the flexibility of creative control. Problems: The CCD burned out on me, after shooting tons of sunsets. Olympus fixed it for free, ...

I have only had the camera a few days but I am very happy with it. The pictures are great and the layout is not difficult to figure out. My friends and family can't believe the pictures i have taken with it. If you want to see some pictures I took on automatic send me an email. This is one of the few things I have bought and been very pleased with after using. I had a Kodak and sent it back. Problems: The only problem so far is no sound with video mode, and my big nose getting oil on the LCD ...

Great images & easy to use very pleased with the results and the degree of manual options that gives the user scope to experiment & be creative. should be a cover over the veiwng screen but this is a minor gripe........Enjoy Problems: Almost considered purchase of another model because of the way the lens motors open & shut when the cmaera is turned on & off, could be a poosible wear problem in the future,

I like the size. It works great with one hand. The screen on the back is better than the Casio QV2000 I used and the Canon A50. I can even see it outside in some sun. Flash washes people out too much. I try not to use it. It does pretty well w/o the flash. Needs USB, more memory, and a case. Color is good but not perfect. Problems: Lens cap lost on first outing (no string), size is hard to find in stores. Lens Opens into lens cap and makes noise if you turn it on before you remove ...

This camera does everything well. It is an upgrade of the C-2000, which fixes all the little neuances that camera had (improved rocker switch, shutter, added flash mode button, etc.), plus it adds B&W and quick movie modes, and a few more options not present on C-2020. Many functions, but easy and intuitive to use. Problems: Lens cap is not permanently attached, and can fall off if bumped. I lost mine on first trip I took with the camera. However, Olympus did agree to send another at no ...

Very Easy to use and figure out... I did not open the manual once and I know how to totally work it after about 3 hours of tinkering around. Even my wife who does not know much of anything about cameras, yet alone digital cameras, easy figured out how to turn it on and take some great pictures with it. Problems: The shutter release button fell off but I was able to pop it back on... And if you accidentally open the SmartMedia card door while it is writing a large picture (TIFF) you'll ...
