This was my first digital camera. I choosed to buy this model after reading any reviews available at that time on Internet. Now I can make some user review about it. The camera itself is a good bargain, if found at discounts. It's a pretty simple camera, which provides good quality images if used in places with a lot of sunlight. If used in shadows or anyways in low light, the contrast and looks of the picture drastically lowers (but this is valid for any camera). The 1600x1200 pixel mode ...

This camera was my introduction to digital photography. At first I only used it sparingly, but as I started using it more, and learned to adjust the white balance and exposure compensation manually, I started getting really great photos with it. The 2.1mp ccd is limiting in terms of print, but for web photography, it's just fine. I'm looking to move up to the next level now, an slr-like digi-cam, but what I've leared about digital photography from this great little camera is invaluable. Chec ...

I HAVE REVIEWED 5 DIGITAL CAMERAS IN THE PAST YEAR- TOSHIBA 25 , NIKON 950 , KODAK 3900 , OLYMPUS 3000 , AND THE OLYMPUS D- 510. THE 510 HAS PRODUCED THE SHARPEST IMAGES OF THE FIVE. ONE EXCEPTION: THE NIKON 950 WHICH PRODUCED THE FINEST MACRO SHOTS. THE 510 IS NOT THE MOST USER FRIENDLY- I CONSIDER IT A WORKHORSE WITH LITTLE AESTHETIC APPEAL BUT GOOD FOR THE DOLLAR. THE KODAK PRODUCED THE BEST COLOR- A BIT SATURATED BUT PRETTY, SHARPNESS IS GOOD BUT NOT THE BEST.THE KODAKS ARE VERY EASY TO ...

It is a pretty good beginners cam if you're only going for daytime outdoor photographing. The camera is very easy to use but image quality is terrible in low-light conditions (nighttime or indoors). The camera has great construction though. It feels pretty solid for such a small camera and all the buttons have that nice quality touch. Problems: Images get very noisy in low-light environments. Batterytime is too short when you use the LCD.

This camera is a pretty good point and shoot camera for the money. It's got some handy features like exposure compensation. I like to use this feature to keep a picture dim when required to use flash, because if I were to just turn off the flash, the picture would be rather dark and not so much dim. Since it's digital, you can get all the practice you need. Whenever I take pictures of something or someone, I take maybe three or four shots in different settings to see which one looks the best.

I got this camera for my Birthday just before Xmas 2001 & was very impressed with the picture quality & ease of use. It feels nice & solid too! Shame it doesn't come with 16MB smartcard or rechargeable batteries - this thing eats AA batteries in a couple of flashes or low light shots. This factor is rather disappointing Problems: My smartcard corrupted before the end of the first day!!! This rendered the camera completely useless. Olympus European Customer service were terrible & very slow to ...

Problems of the sliding front cover scratching the case excepted, this is a good, solid camera. I've had mine for 6 months and have taken 1800 or so shots in all kinds of imaging conditions. Image quality is good, if not as good as on some 2.1mega-pixel cameras I've used. Flash range is limited but otherwise the flash options are excellent. Mini-video options are great and give fine results. Problems: Front case scratching (sliding cover and even the hand strap tends to catch the casing). ...

I've had this camera just under a month now and agree with all the praise that it has rightly received here. I have been very pleased with the pictures taken with it. However, I have also discovered just how different digital photography is in terms of its immediacy and I've started to miss the chance to play around with shutter speeds etc. For this reason I'd say if you want a camera for general family use then you really won't be disappointed. But if you think you might want to play ...

Good cam, but consider the C-2040 I had my C-200 for a week, and decided to throw in extra money and get the Olympus C-2040Zoom instead - it has a *far* superior optics - try looking at some sample photos from both cams, e.g. at "Steve's digicams" Problems: None

Surpised to find it also shoots QuickTime movies. Overall very happy with my new purchase, but 8MB of memory? I know all cameras come with 8, but it's time everyone upgraded... Problems: The interface isn't exactly intuitive...
