I've had the camera since July 2002 and its excellent, many people comment about poor battery life but with this not being my first digital camera it really is NOT the big deal people make it out to be. The point to realise is that walking around not taking shots with the camera in record mode is not how you use a digital camera. At my sister's wedding I must have taken 120 shots and I didn't even need my spare rechargeables I had in my pocket all day. The key to this is that I was probably ...

just purchased the c2 but mines is called (olympus brio d-230)it has the same features and is identical in every way as the c2, i cant find it on olympus web site, so we will call it c2. i purchased it on boxing day for £99.99 on a one day only offer price from p.c.world. So far so good, smart little camera, nice features, only had the camera for 6 hours, still to put it through it to the test. I will get back with my results soon. Problems: As with many of you, I have the same problems ...

This camera is an excellent value for the money! The pics are consistently good. I wouldn't recommend using the zoom whenever possible. Just move in a close as you can. I am looking to the 730 as an optical zoom compliment to this camera. Problems: None.

I bought this camera as a digital replacement for my Mju-2 35mm point and shoot to take with me when not carying a backpack full of SLR cameras and lenses and am very pleased. Image quality is great thanks to the fast f/2.8 lens. Operation is simple but the first things you need to do is turn off the friggin' bleeps and set it to keep it's settings after a power cycle. Otherwise you will keep finding it in HQ mode instead of SHQ mode after you turn it on and off. HQ and SHQ both give ...

Very good camera, it gives best image quality. I tried Canon, Casio , Nikon, Minolta, SIpix and Olympus, but i think Olympus C-2 Zoom is the best (Picture Qualities). Features are so so, Classic Olympus Design, Good flash, Normal Material, Perfect lense, Value for Money? Yes! Problems: Need to close the lense before view results. Other then that, no comment.

OK.....Its a point and shoot. and a damned fine one at that! However, most functions can be overridden to more or less reach the functionality of a traditional basic SLR. BUT!....each time you open and close the lens cover (also doubles as the on/off) the camera defaults back to the fully auto mode. This is a feature I like. I did a foundation course that included photography and I also owned a nice 35mmSLR which my dog ate in 1997. David Baily'izms aside I have always intended to try out the ...

First digital camera, very impressed with both cost (I bought a factory refurb) and picture quality is great. If you are starting in with a digital cam this is great for the price. Problems: It EATS batteries, if you are shooting the 15 second movies then you are looking at about 10 mins life. I bought a decent battery charger its the way to go !. And yes the Software is poor, much easier to just copy and paste the files shown in the removable drive that appears under my computer onto ...

Very good camera for the price,I bought at Currys last Month and it came with a 16 MB memory card plus a free 32 MB card. Excellant value. The software could be better. Problems: Burns up normal batteries in minutes, best to purchase rechargable 1700 mAh batteries. No case for it.

I bought this camera a few days ago as a factory refurb and got quite an amazing deal. The camera itself does not feel cheap and the construction seems good. The features for a camera of this price is oustanding. Battery life is a problem, though ive just started using nicads and they are ok. As for the software, its usless. The USB drivers that you install with the software actually place the camera as an extra hard drive on your machine, so forget the software, just plug in machine, go my ...
