Opinion: great travel cam, still use it on trekking and adventure races. I don't mind it's faults, it serves it's purpouse, a camera always with me,I don't have to think about exposure and stuff and I don't have to worry if it gets damaged.

Problems: SM card door broke down due to constant opening and closing, battery door opens to easily (I use duck tape to ensure it), quite heavy because of 4 AA batteries but then again battery life superb, poor flash (best used outdoors), low light performance bad, low light performance bad, red s not accurate, greens sometimes too punchy.

Opinion: This was my second digital camera and it produced excellent quality photos in most conditions. Very warm colour rendition created pleasing photos. It had an easy to understand menu system. Like the old 35mm Olympus Trip this camera was Olympus's entry end camera but producing excellent results at an economical price.

Problems: Only problems encountered were short battery life and the lens cover, which could accidently open in a bag resulting in the batteries draining.

Opinion: This was one of my first Digita Cameras and is still one of my favorites for Real Estate. Although it is a very basic camera, It is by far the easiest and fastest cameras to operate. Slide the cover open and shoot. There is virtually no delay in getting ready to snap a picture. There is no focus issue ( fixed focus camera), no long card check delays ( max card size is 128 MB) Battery life is incredible, the manual states that 1020 pictures can be taken set of 4 AA batteries. I haven't tried to confirm that claim, but I know I go about 7 - 9 months on one set of batteries. I like this camera so much, that I have a back-up 380 brand new in the box. I also own the C-8080, C-750, and the C-60 zoom. All of these cameras have thier strong points and weaknesses. The D- 380 is great for Real Estate because the listing services limit the size of the photos we can upload to 250kb. I can take pictures with this camera and upload them with very little post processing which saves me a lot of time. If you were to tell me that I could only have two cameras for my business, this would be my second choice. The C-60 Z would be my first choice, only because of the higher resolution capability. They both take great pictures in their intended circles.

Problems: Battery cover occaisionally opens unexpectantly. No other problems.

Opinion: This was the 4th and most expensive OLY I've owned, 2 D-360L's, a D-510 zoom and this D-380. The D-360L takes sharper, clearer, more reliable photo's in every way, and it is only a 1.3mp. I've never been able to find a good use for this camera. It cost $70.00 more than both of my other BigBox units, and when I use it I have to take backup photos with a 360 to make sure I get home with the photos I was paid to take. Don't count on this unit.

Problems: Poor images, Grainy Images, etc.
Battery door tears up batteries.
View Finder Inaccurate.
Macro Lever Hangs

Opinion: I bought this in April 2003, and I've enjoyed it thoroughly. I'm most impressed by the battery life. If I use the LCD sparingly, the batteries seem to last forever. Yes, it takes 4 AAs, but at the rate they're used, it's no problem. Picture quality is very good, and I can usually sharpen them up with photo editing software to look excellent.

I'm also very impressed with the camera's performance in low light. I find that I almost never use the flash. With the flash, the colors do appear somewhat distorted.

The best part was, when I wanted to buy it, the store had only the display model on hand. Not wanting me to walk out without making a purchase, the manager sold me the display model for $90, and he threw in a 32MB memory card to boot. I loved it!

I've taken zillions of photos with it, and I hope to take zillions more.

Problems: None.

Opinion: Great camera, no gripes, replcement for a camera that had something wrong with it was not shure if i should accept this one, pleased i did .
battery life long, great pics, easy to download on computer, nothing gone wrong with it in all the months i have had it, the list goes on.

Problems: Some of the pics can be a bit light when put on computer, but my photo editing software sorts this out at the press of a button.
So still no gripes.
