Using recently bought V3 and lexar card, I am shooting nefs and importing to imac running Mountain Lion using Aperture.  In each batch there are one or two files which, when imported are corrupt.  The below is an example - a jpg saved from the nef. This also happens when using View nx2 to transfer, when the file is opened in Capture nx2 and when importing the same file using iphoto. On the camera, everything looks fine. I have reformatted the lexar card. Any help or thoughts on what might be...

I've been pretty happy with the results from my Epson V370 scanning regular slides, but I've recently acquired a bunch of older slides that I think my mom developed herself from the 50's.These are 127 "super slide" format. The The viewable area is about 40mm x 40mm, as opposed to the 34mm x 23mm of a normal 35mm slide. I've not figured out how to adjust things to properly scan these without unwanted cropping. Can it be done with this scanner, or do I need to find another way to scan this...

Hi, I've been eying a V2 for quite awhile and came across a V3 in a camera shop while currently on vacation.  I found a V3 + 6.3-13mm combination for about 900 USD and I've been on the fence about picking it up since I saw it in the shop. I can also pick up a V2+ the same lens for about 750USD instead.A little more background on what I normally shoot. I normally carry a IR converted D7000 calibrated to a 16-85 lens and a D610 + 17-35mm for street, architect and landscape photography. I'm...

My main camera is a D700, bag 'o lenses, etc. I have been using a Lumix ZS3 as a point and shoot and for underwater casual photography. I am looking to replace the ZS3 and am considering the V3. Can you guys give me any help in deciding whether or not the V3 would function as an easy p&s? I like the ability to change lenses but also am interested in the ability to put it in my pocket and go. Thank in advance.

Hi Has anyone disassembled a J3? Ultimately, I would like to access the shutter button, so I can bring 3 wires out for a cabled remote shutter release. Yes, I know the J3 can be remote controlled with a WiFi adapter. No, I cannot use 2.4 GHz at all with the J3, as it will interfere and de-sense another nearby 2.4 G device. Yes, I'm familiar with working with SMD. Yes, I know the V3 can use the ML-L3 IR remote.  The V3 is heavier, and I have a strict weight limit for the...

I just purchased a V3 kit that also included 3 extra EN-EL20 batteries besides the EN-EL20a battery that came with the camera. I notice that they are 1500 mAh and a couples of volts higher than the kit battery. They fit the V3 charger and the camera fine. Just wondering if anyone else is using EN-EL20 batteries in their V3 and if there are any issues? --Bill S.Digital film is cheap; shoot fast and shoot often!!!

Hi there, Have any of you noticed a rattling noise coming from 100-300 CX lens when on the V3? I noticed it when walking.....is this normal? The system arrived today via post. Thanks Pat --https://www.flickr.com/photos/trysh/

I bought into the Nikon 1 system a while ago when Amazon had one of those super sales of the day that offered the J2 plus the 10-30mm. and 30-110mm. zooms very cheaply. An impulse buy!  I considered it kind of a fun diversion from my DX photography, but not much more. Then I received the 18.5mm. lens as a gift and found it to be fanstastic for low light work. Finally, I talked myself into getting the 70-300mm. zoom, based on the quality of images I saw on Flickr taken by that lens.  I have...

Is there a way to have the camera give you the number of shutter actuations to date?  I am buying a used V2 and would like to look at that as soon as it arrives.

Hi folks, I'm considering purchasing the V2 or V3. One question I have concerns the V3 and the EVF. Can V3 users/owners please advise how well attached and robust does the EVF appear to be when attached to the camera. Does it appear that it is intended or can be fitted permanently if the user chooses to do so, or is it for fitting only when required? I'm old school and prefer a viewfinder and am leaning towards the V2 but wish to consider the V3 as well. Thanks for your thoughts.
