In Aperture I used to be able to set my import template to increment each new imported image by one. When a new import started the counter remembered the number of the last imported image and started the new import at the next huber in sequence. I can't seem to find anything similar in Lightroom 5. If I use sequence in the import string it always remains at the same number that I started the previous import at. So every time I come to import a new set of images I have to remember to go look...
V3 is currently out of my price range, but it looks awesome. Trying to talk myself into it! If I didn't want to have the 30-110 right away, I could easily do it! But if I can't talk myself into it, I think it's coming down to the V1 or the J4. I've never seen a V series camera in a store, but got to play around with a J4 at the local camera store and the touch screen was great to play with. Seemed like touch, focus, and shoot was instantaneous! So, if you had to choose, J4 or V1 to start?
I'm beginning to think my new V3 has a hair trigger and I have the slowest trigger finger around. I took my first test shots in the garden yesterday. I had the camera in aperture mode and the first 3 shots went fine. Then, all of a sudden, I had dozens of copies of each shot I took. Today I was at my sister-in-law's birthday party. I had the V3 set on automatic. Again, I wound up with dozens of copies of almost every pic. Do I have some option set wrong? Am I holding down the shutter release...
Does anyone know whether there is a good technical reason why the maximum dynamic range of the Nikon 1 series, such as the Nikon V3, is lower than that of the similar sized sensor on the Sony rx100 MkIII. Many people complain that the Nikon 1 digital cameras have poor dynamic range - but of course the Nikon 1 series also have extremely fast frame advance rates. In the back of my mind I've felt for a while that maybe there are some technical issues that make it very difficult to achieve high...
Hi, If you remember there were problems with V2's EVF and LCD. The EVF was jerking when panning and both EVF and LCD had red dots in shadow. After a while Nikon solved these problems with a new firmware but what is the situation with V3 ? Is the EVF gives clear and smooth view ? --Cheers János
I am considering getting an AW1 with either a V2 or a V3. If I am correct, each camera requires a different battery and in the case of an AW1 with a V3, different memory cards. I can live with that and I'm aware that the V3 EVF occupies the hot shoe; None of these issues are deal breakers for me. I intend to use the AW1 on vacations in the water and either the V2 or the V3 as a walk-about camera. I currently have a Fuji EX-1 with 35mm and 18mm lenses and several film cameras. I have a couple...
