Can the EN-EL20a battery from the V3 be used on the J series? I checked Nikon and the EN-EL20a only shows compatibility with the V3. I remember back in the D70 days the D70s had a newer battery that was backward compatible. I think they added an E to that battery.
I'm looking to buy a fast telephoto lens for my E-M1 and fast AF speed is a priority. While I've heard nothing but good things about the AF speed of the 40-150mm PRO, even with the 1.4x teleconverter, I am wondering how much of a benefit the E-M1's firmware v3.0 has been in terms of improving AF and AF tracking when using the 50-200mm SWD lens. I shoot in relatively low light events where I can't get too close to the stage, and sports/wildlife-ish situations (dogs at the dog run don't count...
There is varying reporting from Nikon sources as to whether the D7200 has group AF. If you still have the camera, could you check and let us know please. --Cheers, BrandonFlickR sitehttp://www.flickr.com/photos/brandon_birder/Flickr D810 & D800 galleryhttp://www.flickr.com/photos/brandon_birder/sets/72157629726734905/Flickr D7100 galleryhttp://www.flickr.com/photos/brandon_birder/sets/72157633409947519/Flickr AFS- 80-400VR...
Has anyone had their V3 battery grip lock up? Mine has several times recently. Rest of the camera works find and the other shutter button works, etc. I have to remove/add the grip to get it to start working again. Everything is current on firmware. Guessing a warranty trip to Nikon in in order.
Hello there, I own a V3 for a few weeks now and am reading here since then, and already learned a lot about my little Nikon. While its not mine, I already used a V2 a lot before and used the AF-L button to lock the focus, which was very useful. The lock is turned on when the button is pressed the first time, and needs to be pressed again to unlock it. But in the V3 the lock is only active while the button is pressed, as soon its released the auto focus is on again. To set the focus to fixed...
Hi, I am trying to set up my Nikon V3 to output live view via HDMI to external screen. However it only puts out a small image centered in the screen. I want it to be full screen like my NEX7/A77. Using a 7 inch monitor with such a tiny picture is unworkable!! What was nikon thinking?!?! Anyone else noticed this? Is there a way to fix this? Please let me know. Thanks Max.
Using recently bought V3 and lexar card, I am shooting nefs and importing to imac running Mountain Lion using Aperture. In each batch there are one or two files which, when imported are corrupt. The below is an example - a jpg saved from the nef. This also happens when using View nx2 to transfer, when the file is opened in Capture nx2 and when importing the same file using iphoto. On the camera, everything looks fine. I have reformatted the lexar card. Any help or thoughts on what might be...
I've been pretty happy with the results from my Epson V370 scanning regular slides, but I've recently acquired a bunch of older slides that I think my mom developed herself from the 50's.These are 127 "super slide" format. The The viewable area is about 40mm x 40mm, as opposed to the 34mm x 23mm of a normal 35mm slide. I've not figured out how to adjust things to properly scan these without unwanted cropping. Can it be done with this scanner, or do I need to find another way to scan this...
