I understand that the A7II's IBIS is supposed to enhance Sony FE lenses' OSS. There are lens profiles in A7II to enable the interaction. However, there is no mention of Batis lens profiles for A7II. Does anyone know how the interaction is supposed to work in this situation? I was hoping that the V2 FW would include the Batis lenses. In V1.2 FW, Sony added support for a few Sony FE lenses. I tested FE90 F2.8 and it seemed to work well. --"Keep calm and take photos"Photography enthusiast, from...
Hello, I read from the a thread (link below) the Nikon AW1, 10mm, and the Olympus FCON-P01 Fisheye Convertor works well. Would it also work on the 10mm for Nikon V2? I can not find any other pictures or information regarding this. I saw several pictures and reviews of the Convertor, however it does not looks its just a screw on. Would I need another adapter for it? Thanks in advance, Daseul http://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/55101736
I have a Kingston 16GB Class 10 card. Lately a6000 has problems with this card. When I format it in the PC and then I put it in camera, it works ok. But when I format it in camera, after format camera does not recognize the card. This card works OK in PC. After formatting it in camera and then put it in PC, PC says it needs format (I guess the format inside the camera screws it up). An older card that I have (an adata 4GB) works fine in camera with no format problems. I have latest v2...
Have long coveted a Nikon 1 V system, but prefer to shoot in 4:3 aspect ratio and have waited through V1, V2, and V3 for a framing option other than 3:2. Having given up waiting, it occurred to me that I can put clear plastic adhesive-less cover (like a color-form) on the EVF and with a fine point Sharpie draw vertical lines to mask out the 4:3 dimensions. Has anyone tried anything like this? If so, what material is recommended? Other options? Thanks in advance.
Hi has an aybody used the new 300mm PF lens with the FT1 on a V2/3 camera .Iam considering adding this lens to my FF system with a view to using it also on my V2.I am especially interested in its wide open performance and AF speed as i would want to use it to compliment my 70 300 cx lens.
Hi all, looking into the A7ii for a friend who's upgrading from a 10 year old SLR. I was just about ready to recommend the A7ii but then the high ISO comparisons on dpreview (and other) seem to show that the A7ii is roughly at APS-C levels of noise. In fact, in terms of ISO performance, the a7 II appears to fall near performance levels of the smaller, APS-C sensor in the Nikon D5300, showing similar noise in midtones. The dpreview was done on firmware 1.1. Firmware 2.0 lists improved image...
I found the V2 at a very low price, I mainly do stealth street photography, i.e. taking pictures of people without them knowing. This means my camera must have fast AF, be fast in operation, be as quiet as possible, and otherwise not attract unwanted attention. Because my work is exhibited in local art galleries at large print sizes, I also need very good ISO performance. Is V2 a good choice for my needs? --Galactic cosmic rays don't play dice.
