Hello, I was gonna ask question about D7100 and viewfinder. I didn`t notice before untill recently I tried to take a photo of the moon. In my viewfinder i noticed  another moon very transparent, just under Moon i was focusing. I tried with focusing distant light, like street lamp, and again, i was seeing transparent light under. It`s not diopter ring and has no affection on photo. I`m not sure whether that is normal or not. Thank You

This lens just drives me mad.  It is my most expensive piece of gear from Nikon and yet it is also the softest lens I own. It was terribly soft on my D3300, especially on the lower right corner, and it still is in my D7100, even after fine tuning it at +10 or manual focusing it zoomed-in in LV.  My 24mm f/2.8D is extremely sharp compared to the 10-24 at 24mm.  Is it just my copy or this lens is just soft by design?  How are your experiences with this lens?

Hi Looking to buy my first DSLR after waiting for many years, in fact they were SLR's when I first wanted one! So could really do with some advice please. I've been seriously looking online for about 6 months. Unfortunately there isn't any camera shops in my town anymore. I could go to Curry's but I imagine it will be the same as when I was looking for my monitor in that they don't stock the higher price ones. My initial thoughts were to buy a beginners entry level DSLR but after seeing the...

Dear All, I am contemplating upgrade, possible D7100 + 16-85mm lens. After reading tons of reviews (and comparisons with 18-140) I am puzzled by contrast between generally excellent users’ reviews of the 16-85mm lens compare to not too much exciting test results of the lens by DXO. Can anybody comment please if DXO just had poor sample or opposite – in real life nobody sees that superb resolution and average quality modern lens is just fine for general public every-day use? Thank you! McDim

I need a good, cheap 3x zoom lens for my DX camera (currently D7100) that starts at least at a 28mm equivalent FOV with stabilization and constant aperture for mostly video use. Nothing from Nikon current or since fits the bill, and although the 18-55mm VR II kit lens was good enough for starters, zooming it in darkened the image if exposure was set in manual (as will all variable aperture zooms), its zoom ring action is too sticky and focus didn't stay put while zooming. So I read everywhere...

I currently have a D7100 and a D750.  I am looking for a GOOD lens for astrophotography. I have a 24-105 Art lens.  I Have looked at this 12-24 lens, but am not sure the apertures would be adequate. I am always looking for versatility, not really interested in a prime. Thoughts....?

Hi All, I would consider myself an intermediate level photographer. I am interested in low light photography. I am planning to buy a camera around $1000 - $1200. I'm seeing an odd issue where my Tokina 11-20 is misfocusing on my D7100 when I use the outer focus points (covered in more detail here) and it was suggested that I ask if people have seen general problems like this with other ultra-wide lenses on the D7100, for example with the Nikon 10-24 (especially towards the wider end, eg under 16m). I have the 10-24 myself but I haven't used it much since I got my D7100 and I mostly used it at f/8 and f/11, so I might not have really noticed focus...

I just bought this lens used. I can only use it on the M or A setting on my camera. All other settings show " F - - ". Is this normal b/c it's MF or is something wrong?
