Beauty. It works flawlessly. I am not an expert but so far so good for my first dSLR ever.

Bought the camera with 18-55 VR lens. The menu structure is easy and straightforward. The pictures I've taken where excellent. The VR lens is worth every penny. Problems: SDHC card 4GB is not recognised by my pc through the usb-camera connection as a 4Gb card. Should be a problem with Vista SP1. Installing new version of Nikon View nx and Nikon TRansfer 1.1. 0 should resolve this problem. Missing cable for camera video connection.

Have used this camera extensively over the last couple of weeks. Have used it with an array of lenses and also with flash. It performs beautifully with the kit lens, very compact and lightweight. The VR on the 18-55mm works as advertised. Also used the 18-200mm VR Nikkor and the resolution it resolves is very good for the D60's 10MP sensor. Much of what I wrote about the D40 stands up. With the D60 you get the benefit of shooting at ISO100. Detail with kit lenses is exemplary, I just cannot ...

The D60 is my first DSLR camera and I reallly like it. Bought the kit with the 18-55mm Vr and 55-200mm VR lenses, 2 Nikon instructional DVD's and a 2mb Scandisk card for 828.00 shipped which I thought was an excellent price. Took pictures at my son's spring scrimmage and thought the 180-200mm VR lens performed great. Also shot pictures of a home the other day and the 18-55mm gives me a wide enough angle to get great pictures!. Have only used automatic so far(easy for my wife too!) but ...

Superb camera - well worth the extra over D40 if you like the VR lens, extra pixels for cropping, faster menus, Active D lighting which really works, eye sensor that turns off screen and sensor dust cleaning. (If not the D40 is for you.) As with the D40 and D40x the small size, low weight, ease of use, brilliant Auto ISO and excellent image quality make for a wonderful camera. Add in an Sb-400 flash and a 55-200 VR lens and you've got a stunning setup for not much money. Do you really need ...

Will someone please come in and clean up the "bogus" ratings (including this one that I have used just to post this request) so we can get an accurate rating for this camera!! Problems: See above.

Problems: Matrix metering can rather easily over-expose shots. Compared to several other Nikon compact digitals I’ve had (5400 8700 & 8800) and the Olympus, this is a disappointment. Nikon should not have changed it – “if it’s not broken don’t fix it” The 18-55mm kit lens is generally good but image quality was less than I was used to. I bought a used 18-70mm Nikon zoom which is much better, almost as good as my 2 bridge cameras, and this cost less than £100 on ebay. I highly recommend this ...

Got my first DSLR the D60 from newegg.com The first one I got had 3 hot pixels that would show up at any ISO or shutter speed. The "auto shooting info off" would not work properly in outdoor sunlight (it would keep flickering on and off) Also the 18-55mm kit lens made a slight creaking sound on the bottom near the base. So I sent it back and got a new one. The hot pixels were fine, not showing up at reasonable ISOs and shutter speeds. The "auto shooting info off" feature worked properly. And ...
