I found myself in some turmoil recently trying to decide if I should change from my favoured camera manufacture Canon to Nikon. The technical choice currently available between the two manufactures is truly mind blowing. If you’re like me once you have decide which camera to go for, researching it can leave you feeling over informed and even more confused over you choice. I originally started looking at the slightly older D90 which is a well received DSLR, but for me I found the body weight ...

I loved the feel of the D300S, and the photographic results, I've seen, but one thing made it a no-buy for me :-(! Problems: When looking for a DSLR I had some hands-on time with a lot of different DSLR cameras, including the D300S, and sadly found the camera made for bigger hands than mine, or my wife's - so I bought the K-x instead - not quite as capable, but good in bad lighting, and that was my premium reason for getting one in the first place - in good lighting conditions even a small ...

Now it't time to put away my 36mm equipment. Up to now, I still use my Minoltas for quality photos... and take daily Pics with some Digis. Now I get this D300s Kit as the first DSLR as my own and take some Photos at holidays... awesome!

The Best, Fast, with a flexible feature set, durable body, and excellent photo quality!!! Video, not too crazy about it, I would even say better you can get from small compact cameras. But overall A++++, it was my upgrade from E500.

This camera is simply amazing. I upgraded from my trusty d200 which i had for 5 years or so. Although it is not a quantum leap from the old body, is sure is worth them money. Its, fast, solid, intuitive, and has all the features i could hope for. I can now happily shoot at 1600iso without thinking twice, a bit too noisy for my taste at 3200iso. I would stop at 600asa with my old d200. The build quality really is second to none. Have used it for regularly for 6 hours in -25oC temps without ...

coming from adslr of lower levels this camera is an amazing tool to make really stunning photos. af-noise-customability-everything is very well placed. read the manual and go shoot. importand !!! invest in lens. perfect Problems: if you are novice in dslr operation and in photograph, maybe is better to start with a more novice friendly camera .

Shutter Noise is too smooth if compair with other Pro. Dslr's Ya....I am talking abt Nikon D-2X Problems: In last week I took D-300s and have D-2X also, when I made my 1st out with this new Cam,I faced big prob with this D-300s...when I mounted this cam on my 600mm f/4,I took few pics and after this my AF & AE locked suddenly,I thought there was some prob in my 600 mm C.P.U.so I shifted on other lens which was my 200mm f/4 macro it was working well, but after 4-5 frames, the same prob ...

Af is incredible, as is the build and speed. Kudos to Nikon that the brand new, excellent Canon's 7d is still only (at best) a match for Nikons excellent design.
