Opinion: In the field, it performed according to specs. Very nice camera.

Problems: Separating the shooting experience in the field from a delusion.

Opinion: ill probably get this as a backup to my d3, or for shooting semi-pro stuff. really good
iq and great build, makes 40d look like a childs toy!!!!

Opinion: A leap from the D200 as big as the D200 from the D100.
I had my D200 4 months ago and now Nikon spawns this beast! It's some kind of cross breed between the D200 and the D2xs with many key features from the beastial D3!
Of course my D200 continues to be a fantastic camera and will always take amazing pictures but I almost wish I had waited a little longer.. but then again.. hey! I have a D200 and it's fantastic and it's worth every penny!

This baby has 14bit depth, the new absolutely KILLER LCD with 4x the pixel count of all other newest machines (except the D3 of course); the new autofocus system which I bet will be fast as a lightning and very accurate; 51 autofocus points; improved noise reduction algorithms with the new processor EXPEED, etc, etc..
I WANT ONE!! well... maybe later..I have to eat after all.. :D

Opinion: I really wish people would stop posting reviews of cameras that are not even released
yet. It detracts significantly from the credibility of this site. Of course, I am doing it
to, right now (didn't see away to post this without the numbers going up), but I just
had to get that out... sorry...
