Take a look at the date of this posting. The cam is something around 12 years old and ... it is great! I am an foto amateur who loves good professional tools. The cam is rockstable and fits perfectly into my hands like an Makita or Festo tools. My D1 has been used a lot by the previously ower but all controls are workig nearly perfect. The handling has no "fat", nothing, a cam does not need. The best way to work with it, because of the bad screen and the slow processor, is like using an ...

I can only say that this camera is probably the best camera ever made, the MegaPixel i size is just perfect and the pictures are so good. When youre used to a Nikon F5 its no problem to find the way through this camera. Just Great Problems: Only problems i encountered is the samme problem we see on every other DSLR cameras and even on compact kameras, its the dust on the CCD/CMOS sensor. But its quickly cleaned and ready to shoot again.

It is now January 2009, and I have shot with and compared the D-3, D-700 & D3x. At first impression the results looked pretty much the same from all cameras, when printed 20 x 30 inches. The D3x is up there with the best medium format camera's and backs, at a fraction of the cost of medium ...

Just have to agree with the other users opinions on the D1. What a tool! Combined with an Epson 1270 printer on Epson Premium Glossy Paper, the resultant prints (up to 12"x18"!) are stunning! And, No running back and forth to a lab! What else can I add? Anyone with a D1 (and even the new D1X and D1H) definitely needs the Capture software if they want to run the camera tethered and/or needs the ultimate quality of the raw format D1 nef files. Just don't forget Qimage Pro at ...

I have worked in a camera store for years and have owned my D1 for quite some time now.. I have used it for everything from sports to portrait work, and the images it produces are outstanding. It is durable, reliable, and fun to use, plus it has made me shoot more, better photos. Problems: Just coming up with all the money for all my lenses and toys.

My expectations were high for this camera. Now that I've had it for a month, it has exceeded all of my expectations. Problems: none
