Hi all, I have a Nikon 1 AW1 which I bought about a year ago. I use it with the kit zoom lens. The zoom lens has never left the camera since I put it on the camera when I first used it. So, it hasn't been off for over a year now. I use the camera only now and then, mostly in heavy rain or when sailing or canoeing. I don't really use it for underwater snorkeling or anything, although I sometimes have put it underwater for a short while. (So far, never had a problem with leakage or anything,...

I just get an AW1 and so far have not purchased any additional lenses. My question is this… if I use a non-waterproof lens, will I have an issue with grease from the o-ring getting on the lens?

Are there any rumors if Nikon will come out with a new version of the Nikon 1 AW Series. Waiting for an upgrade for the AW1. I have searched and can't find any. I really like/want a new AW with VF, with a AW version of the 6.7 - 13 mm and the 10-100 mm. Thanks.

As many of you know, the AW series is Nikon's waterproof lineup. Think the AW100 came out in August 2011 The AW110 came out in 2013 (January I think) The AW120 in 2014 (summer) Think it is safe to assume there will be a AW130.  Any idea when this would out? Have the AW120, but really want 1080 60p video and not just 1080 60i video.

hi, I am looking to get into getting a camera trigger for my Nikon 1 aw1. I have looked into triggertrap and nero triggers but they are not compatible with my camera. Is there anything like these that is compatible with my camera that has similar features? Thanks in advance.

Hey all! I'm an Aussie about to embark on the trip of a lifetime - heading to Canada for a year, and then who knows where after that?  Possiblities include a road trip through USA, a good 6 months travelling through Eastern Europe, a good 6 months travelling through Central America or all of the above! I currently have a nikon D610, with 50mm f1.8, 16-35mm f4, and a 70-200mm f2.8.  About to purchase a sb-700 speedlite, and already have a lightweight tripod.  I feel pretty comfortable with...

I am moving to a different country for 6 months and am tired of bringing m yD-SLR around with me. I currently own the Nikon D3100. I am looking to purchase something smallish, compact yet will take beautiful photos. The LEICA X2 seems beautiful but is the extra money worth it compared to the FUJIFILM X100T? Would I be better of saving my money and just getting a Nikon 1 AW1? Is there other camera models that I would be better off looking at? If I am spending $1000 I want something that really...

I bought my AW1 last month. I used it for a couple of days, both in and out of water without any problems. But then one day when we were out snorkeling a message suddenly appeared on the screen, it said something about the Lens didn't have any contact with the camera. When I turned the camera around I saw water drops behind the front glass of the lens. If someone wonders, I did follow the instructions and used grease before mounting the lens and closed the latches and I checked the seals very...

I am considering getting an AW1 with either a V2 or a V3. If I am correct, each camera requires a different battery and in the case of an AW1 with a V3, different memory cards. I can live with that and I'm aware that the V3 EVF occupies the hot shoe; None of these issues are deal breakers for me. I intend to use the AW1 on vacations in the water and either the V2 or the V3 as a walk-about camera. I currently have a Fuji EX-1 with 35mm and 18mm lenses and several film cameras. I have a couple...

I am thinking of getting into photography more seriously. Though used an SLR many years ago, since I went digital I have been using compacts (Olympus Tough u8000) and really just pointing and shooting. A lot of my photography is landscapes taken while hiking, so portability and weather resistance are important, though I want a good all-round camera too. I am undecided whether to go for a system, or a fixed lens versatile camera. On the one hand if I go for a system then I would probably only...
