Hi, I played around with my Minolta to Z7 adapter with a 1962 135mm F2.8 and thought: I read @ https://www.nissindigital.com/compatibility-chart that this flash is not compatible   marked: "no information available, To be confirmed" w. Z6-7, so let me try... Well to boot it works flawlessly with my purely manual no-auto-diaphragm: Minolta Auto Tele Rokkor-PF 135mm F2.8 (born around 1962, when I was 12) There is no automatic diaphragm, but the viewfinder compensates for stopping down (if flash...

Hey there,  So I'm moving over from Canon crop to Nikon FF (D750) I will be shooting some sport, portraits, general travel and landscape. I'm buying the 70-200 f4 (Outdoor full sun sport) and the 35mm 1.8 for mid range. Can always pick up the 50 1.8G for cheap and eventually will get the 85.  I need something on the wide end. Can only get one lens for now down that side and I'd like it to be a prime. Someday I may replace them with a 24-702.8 if I do events and such but will see.  I'm used to...

Hi, So my 24 - 70mm 2.8 lens needed servicing and they quoted £700. I said no thanks and have decided to buy a new lens to compliment my 70 - 200 2.8 VR lens. I'm at a loss though at whether or not to purchase the Tamron 24 - 70mm G2 (great reviews) or pick up some prime lenses.  I like to work fast and understand there is a requirement to change lens with primes but if I do swap to a prime workflow then I would like a lens that has the best autofocus for capturing the action on a d750. I was...

Hi there, in the comments of https://www.dpreview.com/samples/0328901556/nikon-af-p-10-20mm-f4-5-5-6-dx-sample-gallery it was mentioned that this lens may have a brown cast. This got me curious and I compared two pictures from IR: 1) http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/nikon-d500/Y-nikon10-20f45-56g-JG59723-20mm-f8.HTM  2) http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/nikon-d500/Y-nikond500-nikon28f14e-JG59823-f5.6.HTM  I don't see a brown cast on either picture. If you can spot it than the 28mm...

I am looking for a wide angle lens to shoot landscape on my Nikon d7100. I am interested in Sigma 18 35 1.8 which is priced at 799 USD and I found couple days back that Nikon 16 35 F4 is on sale and is currently priced at 996 USD and the other option is Nikon 24 1.8 which is priced at 746 USD. I will be moving to FX body for sure in future (May be couple years), with that being said which lens is better investment ? I know Sigma 18 35 1.8 is a great dx lens , Nikon 16 35 is great FX lens but...

Close focusing distant for both is same. Size also seems to be similar. Subjects will be People, Nature, Portrait. What are not important Auto focus is not important but having it doesn't hurt. I won't choose one lens over other for having auto focus Price doesn't matter. Can afford Sony 24mm f/1.8 ZA What are important Wide open performance. Macro performance (I checked MFD is similar) Optical quality Bokeh (I understand bokeh might be personal prefrence so If you have sample please...

I've had my XTi for nearly 10 years now and am looking to upgrade. It's really showing it's age and I haven't used it nearly as much over the past couple years. I'll be the first to admit, I don't use my camera as much as I should--predominantly use it when traveling and rarely other times. As much as I would like to buy a nice FF and L-glass, I know I won't get my money's worth from spending that much on equipment right now. I'm looking at the 70D right now. Current lens kit: Canon EF 50mm...

In the years since I bought the D800 I've felt the results from it were too frequently "soft". I figured this was the result of Fortuna or unrealistic expectations. It's the first camera (in a long line of Nikons) that I've subconsciously avoided using. After a recent shoot that reminded me of why I avoid it, I decided to investigate. I bought the Reikan FoCal Lens Calibration software and began calibrating the D800's Auto Focus Micro Adjustment (AFMA). Every one of my Nikkor lenses required...

Hi, I've read in every place I could that the High ISO Noise Reduction option will not affect RAW files, yet mine does get affected, I'm using D750 and I can clearly see the huge deference when HINR is on (on High, Normal or Low). both files were viewed by Windows Photo Viewer, then I captured the screen while viewing. in both pictures LENR is disabled, on the left HINR is off, on the right HINR on HIGH. that been said, does turning HINR ON will affect the quality of the image? let's say I'm...

Anyone using a D7200 with the Samyang/Rokinon 24mm Tilt Shift for increased DOF in landscapes? If so, comments on your experiences with this combination would be appreciated. Sharp near-far compositions are my primary area of interest with this set up. This is my dream combo for now, and I plan to purchase the lens in a few months, and the D7200 next year (retired, and saving my pennies). I am currently shooting with a D90 and a few lenses, primarily the Tokina 12-24 (first version), and the...
