I got the camera from my husband and I loved it from first sight. It takes great vaccation pictures (I just got my first prints back). I especially like that you can take natural pictures of children since you dont have to hold the camera up to your face. I must have recieved a better version of the camera than other reviewers since I dont recognise any of the other complaints. Problems: The camera is a bit sensetive to scraches so it is wise to buy the camera case. The lens cover does not ...

The camera is great to use. I especially like the flash functions, the reach is great and in the portrait mode skin colours get quite natural. Problems: The lens cover is not working so well and is not matching the rest of the camera

The SQ was my first digital camera purchased about 4 weeks ago. I originally wanted to get the Canon S400, as a result of reading plenty of good reviews. When I finally went to Henry's to purchase the Canon S400, I asked the salesperson if there were any other compact digital cameras to compair with, he presented the SQ and I was sold just by the looks, so after about 45 minutes of detailed talk about both cameras and features, I dicided to choose the SQ. I really liked the SQ, but I noticed ...

I don't understand why people complain so much about this wonderful camera. If you want such an little detail then get SR camera. I love Nikon's rich and beautiful color. I always wanted it since I got sony F707, the day I got it(about one year and half) I took same picture with both camera; red-orange flower and sony's was completely turn out to be cheap orange, yes it(sony's) was very clear and nikon's SQ's was rich red-orange beautiful color(it's clear enough for me).I was very happy to ...

This is the perfect size for me. Always wanted a twist-type coolpix but the 9xx and 4500 were always too bulky for me. Now they designed this. If you are already used to the other coolpix cameras then this is similar in layout - very easy to use controls. I came from a Coolpix 880. Very solid build and finish. LCD excellent in outdoors. Noise can mostly be fixed with Neat Image, if you have the patience to put the shots through that step. Also upping the exposure decreases the noise slightly. ...

Beautiful shape, excellent swivel lens, high quality feeling, good brand name, much cheaper than D1X, but ---------------- Problems: terrible, terrible image quality, that's all. I have switched to Canon S400. This is what I found: SQ*SQ < SQRT(S400).

Upgrade the new firmware and see it can help the noise or not.

love the swivel lens design. check my samples - http://www.pbase.com/digitalkl/nikon_sq_test_shots Problems: 1. unacceptable noise. 2. terrible lens barrel distortion. 3. lens cap/cord design is just plain silly. 4. difficult menu system

True to the adverts, this camera is said to be unconvetional and so it is. I was nervous after my wife paid for this camera on the 20.06. We later took it for a "road test". With the handbook by ourside. We siezed the chance to fill the 16 mb card (30 shots). Still nervous when I loaded it Mac G4 OS X.10.2.6. The one touch transfer was a breeze. We couldn't believe our eyes with the pictures. brilliant. We used both auto and preset landscape and portrait. Today, we experimented with ...
