Or, other comparable cameras in the $250 range. Some of you have recommended other point and shoots but can't spend $300 plus. Thank you!

I am looking for a new superzoom camera that I will use in automatic mode. I have had great help on here before so am looking for some opinions please. I realise compacts are not going to get me the quality of a dslr or the like but I'm looking for the 'best in the range' for basically an everyday / holiday camera that I can put in my bag and get decent usable shots from. I will be photographing kids, scenery and the like and using it both indoors and outside. I've had cameras in the past...

Hi, I have recently bought a Nikon S9500 for my girlfriend, shes not used it outside yet although ive pointed it outside and there wasn't any real sighs of a wavy effect then, but inside the house we have halogen gu10 spot lights and there is a big wavy effect that goes across the LCD screen, i was assuming this was probably normal giving the light source and giving that is goes away when pointing the cam outside i said i think it's probably fine and no need to get it exchanged etc.. although...

I have only had a Nikon S9500 a few days, not had chance to really try it outdoors yet, but had it on a few times indoors and each time i've used it, the LCD has this effect on it, which i can only explain as a sort of streaming or flickering effect, its not really bad and also not always there, just sometimes when pointing at certain things i kept seeing this effect. Can anyone tell me if this is completely normal, if so i will be fine with that as outdoors im guessing you wont be able to...

I had my camera stolen last weekend. I loved that camera so I would like something similar if not better. It was a canon sx200 is (I know a little outdated now). I have been to shops for advice  but with only one shop in our town that has advisors in store I would like to know if the recommendation of a Nikon s9500 is a good one. I have only ever owned canons as they have always produced excellent images, even when my friends have cameras of similar specs they always comment on my pictures...

Hi, I currently have a Fuji S2980 that a friend asked me to look at because she knew I'd had several Finepix cameras before (although not this model) and she was having difficulty working out the best way to use it. I have now done so (I love the panorama feature!) and have found every item I wanted except one - how to switch off the double flash. Being cat breeders, we both take a lot of pictures of cats, and one thing I can tell you about taking pictures of cats is that it doesn't work if...
