My husband and I own CoolPix S6000 cameras. We love the pix WHEN the camera works. Here's the frustration: even when fully charged, the camera will not open unless we press the "on" button ten to fifteen times, THEN it's more often than not the camera closes immediately. I need help to decide what I should get. I need camera, my old Fuji S6000 doesn't work anymore. A super zoom would be the thing, but there are too many people out there that don't seem very happy with what they buy, they post negative remarks, this is disappointing. If I listen to all those out there that suggest not to buy this or that, I probably will not buy anything. So I ask for those of you out there that have had many good times with their super zoom to help me.:-( Jo

Here's an example.  Simple shot of house in full AUTO mode.  Totally blown out exposure. --Larry at home in...

It was relegated to the draw since the purchase of my Samsung Galaxy phone. Reduced to the status of phone-wielder, it was while attending a presentation by Sir David Attenborough that I realised the depths to which I've sunk and the deplorable quality...
