Nikon Coolpix S200

Opinion: I compared the Nikon S200 with the Olympus Stylus 760 for a day - both are around the $170 mark. The Nikon is smaller and lighter. While the Olympus has mechanical image stabilization and the Nikon doesn't, the Nikon's better AF vastly outweighed this deficit.

The Olympus AF mechanism failed to set the focus correctly 9 times out of 10 in macro mode in poor light conditions. After hunting for a second it gave up and seemed to pick a distance at random (infinity?). The Nikon by contrast was spot on almost every time.

Opinion: Very good image quality for camera with this price. Good features and easy ti use

Opinion: The camera takes lovely shots outside on a sunny day, but images are surprisingly
grainy in even modest light. Disappointing.
