Hi all, I'm looking for a new camera to shoot performances of music from close range and also to idenitfy birds. I realize this is a strange combination, but it's what I have to deal with. I put a lot of music up on youtube and I am looking to upgrade cameras. Right now I use a Panasonic DMC-FCH27. The sound quality is decent but not ideal and I end up with a lot of white on the face from the light set-up. I found the FZ70 because someone on youtube posted performances with it and it...
Want to take pictures that I can enlarge for wall hanging pictures up to 4' in size that maintain good clarity. I also want to take good family photos for calendars. I dont want to pay more than $800 USDI have studied Nikon p520 & Canon Sx50, RX 100 II, & G16, Nikon P7800,I want a good view finder & good LCD screen with fairly easy to read screens/modes/menus.At this point Im confused & hope it's an easy thing for someone with knowledge in photography to provide.Thank you.
Hello all, I'm the owner of a Canon PowerShot S100 that I bought for its pocketable size and built-in GPS. This is a nice little camera, but it's quite weak in low light conditions. Too slow even if I don't need a very fast camera; too much noise; etc. What I'm looking for is a camera (any size) with built-in GPS and (much) better low light performance, especially regarding noise and dynamic range. Here's what I would call my shortlist : Nikon 1 AW1 Nikon Coolpix P520 Sony Cyber-shot...
Hi all. New to the forum - seems like a great place to get info. We have a very old digital camera, and it is time to upgrade. We are new to the all great features on the later cameras, and mostly want something to take pictures of grandkids, and for vacations. As long as I am doing it, though, I want to get this camera for a special occasion. I am traveling to Florida later this year to watch the launch of a spacecraft that I have been working on for several years. The observation area is...
If anyone here has the P520 I need help with the ISO settings. I've had this camera a little over a week and I'm going crazy trying to find out to set the ISO higher than 800. It's supposed to go up to 6400, but the highest option I can find in the menu is 800. Is there a problem with my camera or is the option someplace in the menu other than ISO sensitivity? --Martha
First the easy question: What type of free site should I get to show off my pictures? (I have a blogger but don't know if I should stick with it.) And what type of DSLR camera can anyone recommend for a beginner on a budget? I would prefer anything under 500 dollars. ( I saw a couple GE Dslr cameras on a website but the reviews were kind of bad) And I found a Nikon COOLPIX P520 18.1 MP yesterday while browsing but is it considered a Dslr camera? Thank you for any help!
