P.5000 takes extrem sharp pictures, and f.eks. 30x45 copies are very very sharp with many details. F.eks. Snow is very white with details without burnt-out. I use 64 iso only. Colours are beautiful. Sometimes I use my P.5000 professionel. Most Fishingboats.

In Comparison to the G7, Images are in focus. Very highly recommended. Problems: It would be nice if it had a 28mm equivelant wideangle feature.

Most importantly (to me) was the shutter lag. While it isn't a DSLR in that regard, the shutter release response is much better than on previous Coolpix models. That had been my sticking point on actually USING a point-and-shoot, so now I can enjoy a compact little camera when I don't want to carry my D200.
