Hello, I'd like to ask you, how can I change languge, date,... settings. Menu -> Setup shows only 'firmware version', no possibility to change language, date, etc. When I started camera first time, I had possibility to setup this settings, but now I can't do it. How can I set up it? thanks, martin
Hello We are expecting a baby very soon and I'm looking for a camera to take lovely photos when our new arrival is here. After lots of research I have found the P340 but I'm a real beginner and so wondered if the auto mode on the P340 would be suitable as a point and shoot (in various lighting conditions) to produce excellent quality images first time without using all the settings? We need it to be easy to use for us and for other people to just pick up and take a quick photo! I'm hoping to...
Hello I am looking for a bit of advice please......I'm a novice who would like to get into photography gradually. I have been doing lots of research online but have now come to a point where I can't decide which camera to purchase. Basically, I am looking for a compact camera that will take great photos with excellent image quality in automatic mode so I (or my husband who knows very little about photography/cameras) can easily just 'point and shoot' without messing around with settings,...

Am looking for a pocket travel camera to take to darkest Sweden in December, something that will be capable of reasonable low light photography outside. I have whittled down my choices to just 2 cameras and the main advantages I see: P340 Longer min shutter speed (60s v 15s) GPS Cheaper Panorama S120 Longer battery life Touchscreen I am thinking the longer shutter speed with a tripod will allow me to get better pictures of the Northern Lights and wonder if a touch screen would...
I go to trade shows a number of times a year where items of various sizes (from small desktop items to large furniture sized items) are displayed in spaces ranging from small hotel rooms to hotel meeting rooms. I've been using a Canon G9 for many years and it's served me pretty well but I've since come to the conclusion I need some refinements in a camera I'd use. The first is a wider lens. I need to get to 24 or 26mm I think, for being able to get all of a cramped display of larger items...
After asking several questions on these forums, (thank you to everyone who has helped so far) and loads of research, dp's buying guides, etc, I think I have narrowed my choice down to three. Can I trouble you for some advise, what your personal preference would be? I know that they aren't really all in the same class, but I want a camera that is smaller and easier to transport than my DSLR, has good IQ (particularly in low light) and good connectivity. I like the idea of controlling the...
On a recent trip to the national parks out west I decided to give raw a try with my new P340. While the jpegs imported fine, iPhoto told me that the *.NRW files were not supported. I found a list of supported cameras on the Apple website and they do support the P330, so I guess it's just a matter of time. The camera has been out for a couple of months now, so can anyone venture a guess about when support for the P340 NRW file will be supported? In the meantime any other tool worth trying out?...
