Whenever I zoom in or out while shooting with my new Nikon L820, the video gets blurred (while zooming in/out is in process). I spoiled many good videos by zooming in/out while recording. Is there any setting/technique to avoid this blurring while zooming in/out? I understand that this is an entry-level camera, and if we can’t do anything to avoid it, it is just fine. I am fine with it. Thanks for taking time to answer my question.

Whether quality of video and still photographs of Panasonic camcorder HC-V110 is as good as Advance point & shoot camera Nikon coolpix L820. I want to have the camcorder as it is lighter & smaller and hence will be easy to handle & carry.

Would you guys recommend the Nikon L820 or the Canon SX50 for taking pictures of mountain gorillas and other animals in low-light conditions?  We're headed to Uganda for a couple of weeks to go on safari and unfortunately can't afford to spend more than $400.  Any input that you can provide would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Dana

I am trying out the L820 and have run into a couple issues concerning the zoom capabilities. I'm wondering what others are experiencing using this camera.

I have been researching and studying trying to make the best decision for a camera.  Not really wanting to spend the money on a DSLR camera, but want something that can capture the kids when they are rodeoing and playing ball. Have looked at the Canon Powershot SX50 and the Nikon CoolPix L820, there is a pretty significant price difference and unsure where to go for the best value for the money.  Any advice would be appreciated.
