Opinion: This compact camera is very easy to use. Outdoors its produces excellent pictures.
For me, the camera does the job.
Nice panorama assistant mode.
Zooming while filming is nice.
For this money (200 €), I cannot complain.
Problems: In lowlight conditions and shooting with the anti-shake button activated, the camera
produces pictures with a lot of noise. Better is to use the Scene "Museum" for such
pictures or taking pictures with flash.
Battery life is rather short with this cam, make sure to have some spares with you.
Flash loads a bit slow.
Making movies with the continuous focus is not usable when the sound is important -
> the constant focussing makes a terrible noise.
Opinion: Enjoyed the small size with all the features.
Prints show excellent outdoors color.
Problems: The LCD completely washes out in sunlight, although it is set for the maximum contrast. I didn't know where I was pointing, and the pixs are not centered.
Opinion: Making movies with the continuous focus is not usable - the constant focussing makes a terrible noise. In single AF noise is also big too.
Flash recharging to slow
Opinion: I was kind of nervous about purchasing this. I always had my eyes set on the canon axxx series. But this morning, in the circuit city ad, I saw the Nikon, and it came with half a gig memory card, so I went ahead and purchased. I am not dissapointed, and I won't be returning it.
It has a battery meter, how many shots you have left etc good stuff
Problems: The macro mode is 6 inches....compared to canon's, it's quite a gap.
The buttons feel cheap, and have a 'twang' sound when you click on it. Overall I wish it would have had a more metal body, but that's more bucks, so understandable
Flash is a bit slow, but I rarely use it.
