For the moeny you paid, this is what you get, I think this is a good value, you should not compare it with a hign end camera like 4700 or f717. This is for dummies. 1. overall it is good 2.close up picture is really good 2. while use flash, you have to keep the person still for .5 second or longer if you use red eye. 3.good picture under good light. if little darker, not good. 4.battery is so small, I wish it could be bigger for more power. well, it is a dummy camera with good value, good ...

This was first digicam. I bought it in Dec. 2002. The image quality was quite good, except that there were a lot of very odd spots allover the image if it was taken with flash. These dots seem to be the blurred images of dust particles, which are floating around in the air. As I took a lot of pictures with flash I couldn't keep the camera, because these artefacts were really annoying! Sometimes almost 50% of the image was blurred with these spots! I returned the camera and got me a Canon S45 ...

I wanted a lightweight alternative to my Nikon 995 that would offer similar zoom and resolution, at a fraction of the weight and bulk. The 3500 pulls it off - it is a brilliant camera, offering an innovative design, simple "point-and-click" snaps (when you want them), and a range of useful, more sophisticated, manual options for creative photography. Unlike the 995, it slips into the pocket - like the 995 it takes great photographs. Problems: None

I bought this digital camera because I needed some fast pictures. I use several Nikon SLRs as well as my preferred handycamera, Leica Minilux. After having fun with it for two weeks it goes back to the shop and Iøm going to buy a Nicon 35mm scanner instead. That way I'll be able to use traditional 35 mm cameras and scan them with 11 million pixels. Note added January 2004: I did buy a scanner. Also I bought a Leica D1 digital which is the perfect camera. Problems: 1. It almost has to be ...

I was excited to get this camera because of the swivel design, and the ability to do self portraits. I like the swivel design as it is good for protecting the lens. It's very portable and fun to use.. Problems: I bought this online from etronics and it turned out to be defective. There was an annoying green pixel on the screen and in the pictures. I decided to go for the Pentax Optio 330GS instead as it does self portraits, has equal zoom as this one, accomodates AA batteries (the nikon ...

Maybe this is the price one pays for being an early adopter. See problems. Problems: I had high hopes for this my first digital camera. Unfortunately, I got one that was defective. Many pictures had a strong magenta cast and several had speckles. Returned it and plan to pick up a Canon S45 next week.

I just brought one last week, around USD370 in my country Malaysia, during year-end sales, with 2 battery, case, one 16MB FC, and additional 32MB FC. I like the camera becuase it is very friendly to a beginner like myself. I read the manual page by page and try the mode 1 by 1, and 2 hours later, I able to take picture, which appears to my expectation, except [beach/snow] mode, cause not in those area to try it out yet. my wife too find it friendly, cause it only take 30 minute of knowledge ...

This camera makes me forgive Nikon. They've made a huge mistake with the D1. that's the most expensive Nikon i've ever bought, yet it's the worst built. I bought the Coolpix 3500 last month, I think it's the best digital camera money for the price. I bought it for under 250 USD in my country (indonesia). The image sharpness is good, u use it in good lighting. Features are ok. and it's really cute. Problems: A way to attach lens attachment will be a nice thing. and no Optical viewfinder? and ...

I love this camera. My friend has the coolpix 2500 and really enjoyed the design and picture quality of it. I couldn't wait until the coolpix 3500 came out. Although the only difference was the upgrade to 3.2MP resolution. I have noticed a significant difference in picture quality. It was what this camera needed. I used to think anything above 2MP was gravy but I now believe improvements can be made on already seemingly perfect camera. Macros are the best I've ever seen. Excellent job Nikon. ...
