Opinion: This is a great camera for it's price range. I purchased it in a pinch, my D100 was run over by an over anxious teenager and I was heading on a vacation. having already sunk several thousand dollars into vacation I had a budet of $250 to buy a new camera. for a tiny 2.0 Megapixel camera this takes fantastic shots. I was very suprised. Obviously not the quality of high price SLR's but I have recieved many compliments on the pictures that were taken. GREAT BUY for the amateur on a tight budget and it's really small and cute too.

Problems: none!!!

Opinion: So far i have been very impressed with the quality of the pictures taken, with excellent indoor shots of my children producing excellent skin tones.
I have only noticed red eye when the subject is looking away from the camera.
I have only taking pictures outside in the sunshine & these have come out spot on apart from the reds being oversaturated.
The menus are very easy to navigate.
Dont ask what the movie mode is like cause i'm not interested in that, all i wanted from a digital camera is to take pictures download & view them on my computer & if thats all you want then i can highly recommend this camera.
Things i like about this camera:
Ease of use
Excellent indoor flash shots
Excellent skin tones
Great to hold
In camera cropping
Macro mode
Takes aa batteries
Dont like:
Reds can be a bit oversaturated
Unable to rotate picture in camera
Plastic feel.....i know it's made of plastic!!
Not a camera i would say can slip in your pocket, due to the height.. 65mm (but it is light)

Problems: Sometimes when i connect it to the usb the camera freezes & i have to take the batteries out & try again & again & again before i can download the pics.

Opinion: great value cam! bought it in singapore for about US$209, and includes nikon tripod and leather pouch! i realise the biggest picture i will ever try to rpint in my life on my own will be no nore than A4. Shop owner feel that 3.2 megapixel is not necessary for my type of usage. great pictures!

Problems: none at the moment

Opinion: This is a very nice camera!

I bought this camera after a long survey. I realy did my homework! Compared to others here that complain.

People have been complaning about the batteries lifespan
the first day i took 140 pics on a set of 2000mAh for 2 hours lcd on all the time i took a picture, and after this the camera just kept going! No sign of a batteries low warning!
Transfering the photos is very
easy just one button and your done.I was first set on getting the Canon A60, but they are realy heavy in comparison to the 2100!
On alot of reviews and user groups people talk about the issue that canon cameras have a softness problem in their photos! its like they put vaselin on their lenses ive seen this on several samples photos from canon! And they are not nearly as sharp as the Coolpix2100! This digicam provides rich colours. And the ...macro is awesome.
And as you are learning the different possibilities like the scenemodes and other usefull fun stuff the pictures just gets better and better beacause its so easy to use this camera you realy enjoy yourself using it!!!
It is about the size of two decks of cards stacked on top of each other so
it is very pocketable, which is exactly what i wanted!
I wanted a fun point-and-shoot digital camera to take pictures of my friends, partys, random cool pictures, etc. It is hard to do with a film point and shoot because of film costs, print costs, development costs, etc
So the Coolpix 2100 Realy is GREAT in all sort of ways!!!

Problems: None so far
