Opinion: Well built rangefinder camera with excellent output and a bevy of great lenses from Leica, Zeiss, VC, and many others. Imagine a 50mm F 0.95 or for less than a third the price of the Nocti - a 50mm F1.1, or a Leica 21mm F1.4 - who else has that.

Camera has a quiet shutter release (nearly the level of the M6). The output up to 640 ISO (800 ISO in real life) surpasses film at the same ISO. The DNG files at lower speeds are exceptional.

Problems: ZERO problems.

Opinion: The M8 is, without doubt, one of the most intuative and engaging cameras you will ever have the pleasure of using. Quality of construction and, with Leica glass attached, imagery is simply outstanding.
Don't listen to those who like to knock the M8; try one for yourself. If you love photography, the M8 will deliver one of the best experiences you'll ever have.

Problems: Absolutely none.

Opinion: This is to offset the idiot who posted a one star review because he's anti-Leica.

Problems: I happen to think this camera deserves 5 stars and is long overdue! The optics from
Leica are bar none the best!
