The Noctilux is a large and heavy lens with the unusual maximum aperture of f0.95, and a price of about $11 thousand USD. Few people would see the need to pay this much for a lens whose image quality is bested by many cheaper lenses, and so the ultra-fast aperture of f0.95 is the sole justification for that price as far as I know.
