What I like: - The features (16:9, shake-killer, etc.) - The design is very minimal (that's good) and has a great feel to it (almost Apple-like feel). - The LCD is amazing. Problems: What I hate: - The extreme amount of noise/purple fringing, etc. It even creates noise in daylight. This is not to be expected with a camera in this price area. I had an Ixus 40 before this, and I took the exact same image with same settings, light and everything. The Ixus generated very little noise. The D-LUX 2 ...

This camera has not been released. There is talk that the firmware will be tweaked to reduce noise - so picture quality could be different from the Panasonic LX1. Therefore ignore any 'user reviews' until it has actually been released and we shall see (its amazing though how Panasonic have managed to totally rouin the design so easily with some dodgy text, logos and nasty grip - panasonic sack your product designer, this camera looks gorgeus in the Leica version!).

missing viewfinder... the Leica logo does not change anything to the Pana-lx1 camera. bad for Leica reputation! mfo Problems: noise..noise at even 100 iso.
