Compared to its 'big brother' the D-Lux 4, the 10MP C-Lux 3 has a smaller 1/2.33” CCD sensor, 2.5”, 230,000 dots LCD monitor and a wider zoom range of 24 to 125mm (equiv). Basically a more expensive clone of the Panasonic Lumix DMC FX37, it includes 50MB internal storage, support for SD/SDHC storage and video recording.

Opinion: Great Little Gem! Hooked to my belt during a 3 week business trip in Europe was always ready to shoot at a moments notice. I used mainly the program mode and the food mode and landscape mode all in natural light settings. Outstanding shots! See my page for samples.

Problems: I do not like the battery and SD door cover and latch. Very plastic feeling, other problem was the main power switch, it is easy to switch on by accident when taking the unit in and out f the carrying case, thus killing my battery power once.
Opinion: Purchased a C- LUX 3 back in Nov 09 have used it 6 or7 times, unsure about the black finish, shows every mark, image quality not great, build quality not great. Its a real shame because I wanted to be more positive about this camera.
Problems: Quality issues
