Have owned this camera for about 9 months now. I have very mixed feelings about it. I have taken some incredible shots...as long as there is plenty of light!! In low light conditions, it has many problems. The colors are very weak and sharpness is poor. there is a lot of noise in the picture after brightened in Photoshop. Also there are dark sections on the right side ( portrait) of some pictures taken in low light situations. I have an Olympus 2500l that takes, on adverage much better pictures.

Overpriced, underspecified, clumsy, slow, unsharp need I say more? There are better cameras on the market for less, perhaps the next Minolta will be better. Problems: Slow autofocus, takes to long to transfer images from the buffer to the card.

Simply, it is not worth the money. The images are not sharp. There are significant noises. View finder is not bright enough. It does not focus fast. Custom white balance is not accurate. Tonal range and exposure are quite off. It is very slow. It doesn't recognize some CF formats when others do. It consumes battery much.
