Very poor performance under anything but optimal lighting conditions. I've been using this camera for about a year and a half, and while I love the form factor, I really don't care for the image quality. The camera is ultra compact and fits unobtrusively in a back pocket, which is great because you can have it with you at all times. The problem is, unless you're photographing subjects in bright outdoor lighting conditions, the photos are dismal. Indoor shots with the flash are almost ...

Regarding the strap scratching the LCD...I just made a little knot at the camera by looping the strap thru the cord twice, thus reducing the length of the cord to the plastic junction which is responsible for the scratching....so now, that plastic junction extends only to the perimeter of the LCD, not the LCD itself. I have never gotten used to holding my finger out of the way of the lens. It is a very hard habit to break, so I have had many bad pictures as a result. Debris (dirt, sand etc) ...

Star rating is never accurate, no matter how accurate you rate it. As long as you know your camera's capability you'd never be dissapointed. Learning what my little xt can do has helped me on how to take great shots. I bought it mainly for portaiblity purpose. And it has served me well. I wouldn't want to lug a big slr while travelling with features I don't use. You have to read and really understand that previous sentence. Many digital photos looked similar after being developed in 4R. So ...

I've owned the Xt for a little over a year. I will be more concise and accurate than short-time users... 1. Buy this camer if you're looking for an impressive and innovative design over professional image quality. A nice sacrifice if you like showing off once in awhile. Heads will turn. 2. Buy this camera if you want a reputable compact, stack-of-card like unit for easy and light travel...don't expect to be a digital guru and claim to know all about digital imaging upon ownership of this ...

This is my first camera and I bought it for about 4 months now. The few things that I like about the camera is firstly, the design. It is slim and compact, which makes it a very handy gadget that you can slip into pockets. Secondly, the webcam function but it advisable to use the AC-adapter to power up the camera if long hours of conferencing is intented because the battery exhausts very fast and the camera will get quite hot after a long usuage. Thirdly, the ease of use. Afterall, it is ...

I returned this camera after a few days use. It was going to be a gift for two family members who needed an easy point and shoot camera for baby pictures. The camera is a great size for putting in your pocket. The case seems very sturdy and all the functions are fairly easy to use. I bought this camera based on the reviews on this site and others. It seemed like a great deal for a 3MP camera with a lot of extra manual functions. Problems: The downside, you can't get any decent indoor photos. ...

A good choice! The tiny metallic Minolta's Xt's build quality and durability is impressive, but I have gone one step further by purchasing a Minolta Xt full-on “PANZER-SHIELD” (a 100-feet pro-grade dive-housing!) and although this rigid acrylic box with internal shock-absorbers makes the camera a much bigger unit, it gives me complete peace-of-mind out on salty seas, under water, covered in dog-saliva, mud, sand, dust and deep in the snow and so on. Even if I do not survive, my Minolta Xt ...

very cute, but that's pretty much it. Problems: long delay between button push and actual picture taken. very long delay (understand seconds) when using flash. image quality is less than average.
