I bought the X20 used on ebay for about $70 over a year ago. I can't imagine a better "every day" camera for carrying in my pocket or backpack for my bicycle trips around town. I even use it in the library to copy illustrations from books and magazines and articles from the Wall Street Journal. You can't beat AA rechargable batteries! Problems: None at all

I have used X20 since Oct.2003, and have continually obtained very good quality 8x10 prints. The camera is fast operating, easily carried in a pocket, and provides most of the features I use. I also have numerous film cameras (Leica M3, Minolta 5, Rolleiflex TLR) that I use for serious work, but the X20 is ALWAYS with me, and I've never run out of battery power during an outing, using 1800mh NiMHs. Sorry I waited so long to post comments, but I hope this helps those just starting digital work ...

This is a good camera for a beginner or for someone who always wants to carry a camera around with ease. I really like the design of this camera, as it is very lightweight, yet feels nice and solid when you are using it (the memory card slot design is cool..at least to me it is). The performance of it impressed me as well. For a 2 megapixel camera that is so portable it has good image quality and even a decent movie mode. Somehow you hardly even notice there is no optical viewfinder, and ...

Bought X20 as backup for my relatively bulky Z1 since both are using SD card and AA battery. It is portable, stylish and trendy in look. Even with limited features, it's performed well as a backup and portable camera. Was considering getting X21 but surprisingly, the newly launched X21 has much less features. It's strange as normally the latest model is always an upgrade. So, bought X20 instead. With fast start-up, small in size and trendy look, it's highly recommended as P&S camera. ...

It is a great, attractive camera. Monolta X20 has the perfect 3x optical, 4x digital zoom conssists of 10 lens! - for small money - do you know it?. For this money you can not buy another so attractive small digicam. I have taking Minolta X20 with me everyday, so I don't miss any interesting moments. I have made a lot of shots of figures and documents for my professional archive. The camera is powered only by 2 x AA batteries or NMH accu, very, very cheap source of current. 8 MB SD memory ...

UK price now around the £100 mark. the construction is fine, even after I accidently dropped it , then fell on top of it! oops... has ALL the features I was after (its an upgrade from my 40i) Images can be *slightly* soft, but if on a tripod come out nice and sharp I'm use to using a gd55 cellphone so the menu system I found easy to use. for the price + optical zoom GREAT! ps: I did a battery test using 2300mah aa batts and it lasted for just over 3:30 hours! wow (thats 2x long as a 40i) fun ...

I received the X20 as a promotional gift for puchasing furniture. It is my first digital camera. I've wanted and have looked at digital cameras for years. For some reason, if this camera would not operate, I'd buy another. It eats alkaline batteries, but with 2000mamp NIMH rechargeables the camera keeps going and going and going. I've read the other reviews. Many state the image quality is poor. For all around point and shoot, it's excellent! Of course for the photographs that do not ...

According to value for money it is a great camera. it has all the major qualifications for a back up camera like Fec. (My Canon 300 D lacks that option) 2100 amp batteries last for 100 shots and moderate viewing.Very easy for everyday shots and handling. You cannot miss any detail with that camera.
