I have had the camera for several months with no problems. Not a bad camera. I bought it for the ease of carrying it around. Overall picture quality is compensated in the size of the camera. But, not bad. Problems: About a month ago, the zoom did not work and the picture wouldn't focus. I sent it back to Minolta (sense it was still under warranty) the first week of December. I did not hear from them so I called them and they told me there was moisture damage and the camera couldn't be fixed. ...

incredibly small in size...a grab n go camera...i have it on me at all times...i considered getting one with perhaps 6x or more zoom (i.e. olympus c-700 etc.) but realized that even with a better/bigger camera i would take less pics because i would have it on my person less...i needed something small to document life, not to become a photographer... -solid metal casing -decent battery life(considering size) -mini movies w/sound -very fast(start up, pic cycling, and continuous shoot) -did i ...

I have had this camera for over 4 months and have never taken a good picture with it. I started my digital career with a nikon cool pix 950. When I wanted more zoom I bought a sony mavica 1000. For drop in the pocket convenience camera I bought the Dimage X.The pictures it takes are never crisp and clear.distance shots ( without the digital zoom ) are the worst. Sunset pictures are are atrocious.Pictures taken with the sony or the nikon blow the dimage away.In addition the parallax is off ...

I've had this camera since the spring. My primary interest is photography for the Web / e-mail and this camera is ideal for that. I really like the light weight and small size together with the non-protruding nature of the lens. It fits perfectly into a LowePro Digital Camera Pouch 8S with room for a spare battery or SD Card. Some of my images are viewable on line: http://www.nmacmillan.com/photos Everything there, still and video, was shot on the Dimage X; the only digital camera I have ever ...

It's so unique and fast! It becomes a new toy for daily snap shots. Dimage X provides images which are soft enough to make my mother and I look younger !

My first camera is Fuji Fine Pix 1700Z – nearly 3 years old now. Don’t laugh, I’ll be comparing the little creature against this second generation old camera. My first impression using the little bug was that the small size really maters. The construction is of high quality – slick and rugged. The best thing is you can take it everywhere – it slips even in the back pocket of your pants and it’s strong enough to take pressure. Finding how to use most functions is relatively easy even without r ...

Great tiny camera. Fits in my pocket, great pic quality, beautiful design, great features. Setting the self timer takes too many steps but otherwise it's a terrific little camera, way better than the 2 Sony digitals I own. Problems: No problems, but setting the self timer takes too many steps.

Excellent results, far beyond my expectations. Software very easy to instal. With left hand gripping the bottom left hand corner, no problems with finger covering the lens. Deleting is easy and quick. Sound is a joke so regard this as a toy. Battery life questionble. 8mb memory card is inadequate. Need 32mb at least. But it's still a fabulous camera especially price (Costco £264). My biggest gripe is with the laborious menu. You have to remember which of three headings, then which of the ...

Great little camera! After reading the review here from Phil, I was a little worried about the image quality. My goal was to get a small digicam to replace my point and shoot film camera. After using the Dimage X I can say that it is really pretty good, it can take nice photos that print beautifully at 5x7"+. Likes: very small, very quick "on" time and scrolling through photos, easy & intuitive controls, body looks nice, long battery life, easy to remove SD card and battery, movie+audio ...

Good photo quality, intuitive menus (although some functions are a bit tedious - deleting photos, self-timer, etc.), great size, ultra portable, SD card compatible with my IPAQ. I really dig this camera... negative aspects listed below are tolerable at the $350 price tag (I will be getting an extra battery, though). Problems: 1. Disappointingly short battery life 2. External battery charger (needs to include an AC/DC converter/charger... waiting to hear back from Minolta if the AC-4 adapter ...
