After using many pocket 5 megapixels cameras (Sony V-1, Optio 550, Canon S-70, Caplio R1-V, Panasonic FX-7), I decided that G500 -unlike my KD-500z and G600- is one of the better little camera ever constructed. I use it during my trekking and the mountin's photos are extraordinary. Problems: Some reddish shots but remediable with menu options!

I got mine as a refurb, as a substitute, easily-portable camera, to take the place of my A2 when I went travelling. It surprised me by the quality of its pics. Take care with it and it will surprise you with how good, no, excellent, it can be. The navegation button does simplify lots of functions. Lots of adjustments possible. Problems: They need someone from Kodak to get in and organize their menus. The LCD could be brighter in sunlight.

I've had this camera for close to a year now. When I got it last august, it was my first taste of digital photography. I felt that at that time I could get something resonably fast and not too expensive, and since I don't finish most of my pictures as 4 by 6, but I like to finish some at 8 by 10 or bigger, 5 mp was a must for me. I was really impressed by the image quality out of that tiny box. I carried it around all the time, I stll do, and was able to snap good shots. I like that it turns ...

I just got this camera a few days ago and it's awesome. I think that many people who have reviewed this camera don't realize that it's made for advanced photographers (even though I am a beginner, I wanted something to grow into). So the lack of easy menus and dials is a non-issu. I ordered it from Abes Of Maine, even though I was a little worried since it's in NY! It's a refurb, which to me offers additional piece of mind, it's been retested and all that. The lack of a longer warranty is ...

I just got this camera two days ago Yes, there is lot of pictures what come out of bad, like blurry dark o out of focus But not only this digital camera does that, I hade like 4 now and its typical of digital cameras, even the better ones. I like the pictures, the ones what come out good, the have a lot of resolution and am happy with that. I like the battery life and the small stylish camera. I don’t like the fact I got the camera and it didn’t came with a warranty, I got it online, if you ...

I am a newbie photographer and I don't know anything about photography. I have a G500 and there are a few concerns about the image quality. When using the automatic setting, the camera has trouble focusing on objects further than 1 meter away in dim light. When taking close shots at night, the flash seems to be too bright at times. I know the focusing settings can be manipulated manually but I don't know where to begin. Outside in bright light, the camera takes impressive pictures and ...

I had checked all the cameras out there back and fourth with help of maybe 5 or 6 website, comparing features, prices, opinions you name it. In fact i wasn't so happy to buy it at first and i wanted the Olympus c50 a little bit more, but because of a tight budget and Olympus' expensive memory card i decided to buy this camera. It's just GREAT. The pictures are great !!!! And i know that red eyes are a big issue with this camera, and the red eye reduction is almost absent. believe me, take ...

For those buyers who cannot get good pictures with the G500, please be sure not to block the sensor located next to the lens with your right hand fingers. If the sensor is unobstructed, there is no doubt this little camera can produce excellent pictures with vibrant colors And fine details that will rival a $1,000 professional camera. I have owned my G500 (my 2nd digital camera) for over 5 months and taken more than 1000 pictures. Comparing to my 1st digital camera (a Kodak model) I bought 2 ...

Great camera. The few reviewers that said pictures are poor are totally wrong..They probably had lens set on close-up.I am very satisfied.I have taken over 1000 pictures in past three months and made a some 8x10's and they were excellant. Can haredly wait to see how Konica tops this one.It is easy to reccommend this camera Problems: The instruction manual took considerable effort to understand and I can see how beginneers could create their own problems.
