Bought the camera after borrowing a friends Minolta F100 camera to go on holday.I hadn't considered Minolta but after being impressed by the F100, I purchased the F200 which has all the improvements of the F100,200,300 range. This is the second digicam I have owned, after returning a Canon A75 under store return policy, after getting inconsistent results from this camera. One thing I love about the camera is the excellent Program control, which I use all the time, rather than the auto mode, ...

I have been using the Dimage F200 already some years and the more I experiment with its features the more fun it gets. The picture quality is really impressive. In automatic mode you don't have to worry about camera settings. Good quality is practically guaranteed. For control freeks, the manual mode lets you take over completely, aperture and/or exposure settings, white balance for different light sources, ISO sensitivity, manual focus, etc. The macro mode is awsome. When in manual setting, ...

I bought it in Hong Kong too very cheap now as it is 2 full years old F200, amazing, but no one mention here, since the camera come with a 1.5M long red white yellow RGB cable, you could connect it to TV or VCR, then the color LCD will be off (to save battery, could be) and it become a cam corder the secret macro function work, only if you see F2.8 on color LCD display and can zoom into your keyboard, within 2 or 3 cm , still bright enough to see, then you know it work -- not all the ...

Great little camera - BUT! The F200 can now be purchased for a very reasonable sum, it is now discontinued but 4 meg is considered by the aficionado as best suited for tiny ccds as anything above this leads to the dreaded NOISE and FRINGING etc. The Handling and layout is OK and build quality is excellent. The picture quality is also excellent especially the colour balance even in auto mode - a pity I can't say the same for my SLR CANON! Highly recommended. Problems: Great little camera BUT ...

An incredible camera for its class / type, far exceeding my expectations and equaling or beating more expensive, larger cameras on picture quality, while very nicely slipping into the pocket with its tough metal body. I managed to buy a pre-owned one from an internet auction site a few months ago and it included the spare batteries, charger and a 256mb SD card ! I spent the summer taking automatic and manual phtos in many light situations and locations, and was rarely dis-appointed. It ...

I have this camera 3 months and I am extremly enjoy. Dark blue metal body is elegant and robust. The price was smaller than for the Canon cameras and equipment is complet -manual mode, unlimit video, voice, 15sec bulp, 3x optic zoom and smaller SD cards. I use usualy automatic mode and make the fast pictures. The pictures are beautiful, only sometimes you need to make more pictures in evening low light conditions. You can do unlimit video and voice has fine quality(only in the wind is noisy). ...

My average: 4.7. Picture quality - is ok. This is what we buy the camera for, isn’t it? 1/1.8” CCD gives you low noise – look at the others 4mpix – they all start ISO rating from 64 or something about and reaches ISO400. In f200 you have ISO100 – ISO800 range. Even new Z2 has lower range... Does it matter? In my opinion yes – having lower noises and higher ISO you can increase the exposure time reduce aperture etc. Does it mean there are no noises? No, there are noises but acceptable and ...

I got a great deal on this camera in Hong Kong. Since getting the camera, I have taken about a 1000 photographs and I must say that I am extremely pleased with my choice. The camera is small and fits in most of my pockets, It solidly built. Uses AA rechargable Great feature set and above all gave excellent image quality. I been very pleased with the photos I have taken with the camera so far. Problems: Slow startup and zoom - This maybe a issue for some but for me and most casual ...

I had to make a choice between the F300 and the F200. I chose the F200 for the following reasons: - Unlimited movie mode - Separate zoom lever - Redefined button-layout - Anti-reflective coating on LCD - ISO800 Before I bought the F200 I got a Canon S400 (IXUS 400). I changed to the F200 for the following reasons: - Full manual controls in an ultra-compact metal body - Clean and VERY SHARP! pictures in all situations - Outstanding macro pictures, SUPER macro mode! - Nimh battery support - ...

Great camera - it handles extremely well and the level of detail is superb. Just make sure you've got a spare set of charged batteries with you! Problems: It EATS batteries - my first time out with 1850mAH batteries saw them flat within 30 shots. However, battery life seems to have picked up after a few charge-discharge cycles, but its still high. The case looks great from a distance, but scratches a lot more easily than I would have expected - maybe the case isn't really metal but some ...
