This is a good camera that I've been using for about 2 years. I mostly use it RAW mode and process on my pc. The images can be crystal clear with great colour, although it can take a bit of work. The lens is great. I never felt the need for anything additional, and the f2.8 aperture at 28mm is better than a lot of kit lens' on a dSLR. Manual zoom and manual focus control make up for the fact that it's not an SLR. The pc flash sync socket is a nice touch,... but...unless you have great ...

Shoots excellent for stills and macro. Problem shooting in low lights using the auto focus especially in concert settings. Overall great camera. Problems: The battery door is a poor design. the hinges break off after usage, but still usable. The battery life is a little bit weak. After about 15 - 25 shots your battery will die.

This is a very good camera considering how much it cost me, and it was very good for me to learn how to take pictures. I beleive I know enough about photography now to move on to higher things, but I still like this camera and think you can get very good results, with a bit of know-how and luck. It has controls for pratically everything, so there is almost nothing missing here that would find in a DSLR. Problems: I was first disappointed by the AF system. It is slow, and fails sometimes. Also ...

I was expecting the 7Hi to be a much better camera when I "upgraded" from my old Canon G3. The truth is, although the 7Hi has 5MP as against G3's 4MP, the G3 images appear to be sharper and colours more vibrant. The 7Hi has more noise, especially in underexposed areas of an image. The 7Hi's power consumption is hugh, often depleting a set of 2000mAh GP batteries in less than half the time it takes the G3 to run down its 1100mAh BP-511 Li-ion battery. Disappointing indeed. The electronic ...

Have the 7Hi for a few days now and seems relatively good especially the wide angle I need for my job. Problems: Well... it eats batteries, I think there is a design problem, the CF card gets really hot, seems to me a problem of voltage compatibility between camera & card, as far as I can see the heat is generated IN the card, this is a serious problem and not good at all for the lifecycle of the CF-card. Anybody some more info about this? Did the previous model had the same problem? Anyway ...

SENT BACK...I have only had this camera for 8 hours and it has eaten 8 Alkaline batteries and 1 set of rechargables. This is a faulty unit and is being returned sadly it has also tainted my views on the camera and I won't be getting a replacement. I bought this camera after owning 2 duff Canon D60s which were also returned. Could someone out there point me in the direction of a non duff 5-6 MP digital camera. Problems: Points to note... 1. I only get 2 flash pictures and batteries run out... ...

Nice to look at. Problems: Batteries!!!! The camera indicates wrong how much time there is left. And it eats batteries. I don't like the camera because of this.
