This camera is very close to a film SLR. All I have read about the excesive use of batteries, is not so today with battery technology improvement. It needs rechargeable batteries though, of 2300 mAh or higher, which will have enough for all my needs. Anyway I always carry an extra set of batteries. Problems: One of my main difference with my Cannon SLR, which I have used for many years, is that it is quite slower for, for example, sports photography. Maybe this is due to that I haven't ...

This is a good camera that I've been using for about 2 years. I mostly use it RAW mode and process on my pc. The images can be crystal clear with great colour, although it can take a bit of work. The lens is great. I never felt the need for anything additional, and the f2.8 aperture at 28mm is better than a lot of kit lens' on a dSLR. Manual zoom and manual focus control make up for the fact that it's not an SLR. The pc flash sync socket is a nice touch,... but...unless you have great ...

Shoots excellent for stills and macro. Problem shooting in low lights using the auto focus especially in concert settings. Overall great camera. Problems: The battery door is a poor design. the hinges break off after usage, but still usable. The battery life is a little bit weak. After about 15 - 25 shots your battery will die.

using for two years.. buying this camera was probably the best buying decision that i gave.. according to me, it's the best digital slr-like camera in the whole market.. i always read about my camera and photography, always i learn and practice something new.. my camera never said "i can not do".. i love him.. Problems: as everyone said, battery life.. i have three sets of four batteries because of this.. and, it is not a small, pocket type camera to take everywhere..

This is a very good camera considering how much it cost me, and it was very good for me to learn how to take pictures. I beleive I know enough about photography now to move on to higher things, but I still like this camera and think you can get very good results, with a bit of know-how and luck. It has controls for pratically everything, so there is almost nothing missing here that would find in a DSLR. Problems: I was first disappointed by the AF system. It is slow, and fails sometimes. Also ...

Hi. I bought my 7HI second hand, have had it for a week now. I reaserched the camera throughly on this very site, and came to the conclusion it would suit my needs. Boy was i right. The build is great, the features are many, and the camera is so easy to use. The manual zoom and focus are excellent, the image quality is good too. I am still trying to get the best from it though. My biggest concern was the battery life. Many people have said they get only a small number of images per ...
