Anyone has tried Dimage7 firmware update on Dimage 5?? Thank you for answers! Problems: Problem is AF (too slow), I don't know how to take a picture of moving things!!! Flash on default is to strong, I allways have to reduce it if I want to take a picture of people at night in front of me. Battery good CF really becomes hot, but that's not the problem :-)

It's probably not the best digital camera on the market but it has many features and very good picture quality. The day i bought it i have posted a message on the Minolta forum saying i was disappointed..now i have learned how to use and control it and i'm quite happy with it even if it has big problems for such an expensive product.. Minolta could have made the perfect camera for all 35mm lovers who want a good zoom and manual settings.. it's just a good camera .. i don't say it's really bad ...

I bought this (2nd digital) camera as much for the lens quality (which is excellent) as the overall manual control it allows. Image quality is good, slightly washy but easily corrected. CX process is probably overkill as others don't use it and are fine without. Sounds good though. Don't like how warm it gets in long shooting periods and autofocus is dodgy, (normal for this one) and needs firmware updating to make it as it should be. Problems: Be prepared to take longer on shots than you ...

The camera I have, seemed to be just perfect during the first couple of days. However eventually I got absolutely disappointed ! It's celebrated the fastest autofocus just doesn't work ! Let me clarify. It works just fine before you upset it. (it's enough to change the magnification) After this, don't trust it anymore ! It may even show you "white dot" your picture will be blurry ! The remedy is switching the poor thing off.. It's sooooo annoying... I went to local Jessops and checked another ...

An advance DC constructed for easy use by SLR film camera users. If you get used to operate a SLR film camera, you wouldn't find any problem shifting to use this DC. All the features you can find in SLR film camera can be found in this DC and easily operated. After you setup the default setting of your DC, there is no need for you to call up the menu for pic taking. You can change the aperture, shutter speed, WB, color saturation, sharpness, resolution etc. by using only the dails of the ...

I've been an amateur photographer for 20 yrs but only recently I'm a beginner at digital photography. I have had the DImage 5 for 2 months and I'm very pleased with it. This is my second digital camera after making the mistake and purchasing my 1st (Phillips/Magnavox) when they burst on the scene a few years ago. I like the grip and handling of the camera. It gives you the feeling it's like a 35mm than a digital camera. It has a great zoom and the functions to me are very simple to use. It ...
