This gets stable 4. It is my main camera for about 12000 frames. Has one programmable button. Good zoom. Virtually noise free at ISO50 (lowest setting). Not bad anti-shake. I bought this for my daughter as she wanted a digital camera that she can hold like my Professional Minolta bodies. It is an excellent P&S with all the features thrown in. You won't yearn for more. I borrow it sometimes from her for my "unobstrusive" work where big cameras distract attention. I can mount even my 5600HS for a long reach flash photo. Problems: Poor ISO320 according to her, but no big deal. I found a solution for this: B&W shooting. Reminds me of Kodak Tri-X Pan film.

This camera is curently going at very low prices because it is discontinued. It is a superb, simple to use camera which delivers excelllent results - in my opinion, a bargain at current prices. Most people are used to having very vivid colour pictures from their cheap digital cameras. But they are often surprised when buying the expensive ones (like digital SLRs) that the colours are more muted - a small amount of computer photo processing is expected prior to printing (so says my Nikon manual).

I've had my Z6 for a week and I love everything about it. I sold my Panasonic LC-43 because I never liked the photos, especially in low light. With my Z6, my low light shots are now excellent. In fact, I can take pictures in my living room in the evening without the use of the flash. It focuses fast and the colours are crisp and bright. The camera powers up very quickly. The Z6 is better than I thought it would be--my initial choice of a camera was a Nikon digital SLR, but cost constraints kept me from making that purchase. I bought this camera before 2 weeks for a very good price (310euros in Europe Greece). It is something between my HP 945 and my Minolta 5D. It's an SLR Like camera with features of an SLR Camera. I havent do so many tests, but my impression is very good thinking also the good price that i bought it.

LCD Red blossoms are blue Problems: Unfortunately the main use will be flower arrangements and woodland fungi for publication. I am extremely disappointed with the red image in the LCD. Red blossoms are seen as Blue! And a generally flat colour display. Print outs have a slight bias to blue. The camera is now in the post back to Konica for their inspection/adjustment if possible. I would like to know if this has been noticed before. The jury is still out.

This is my third digital camera. The first two were absolute P&S with very little manual control. My first SLR. Get used to processing images thru PhotoShop. I'd like to rip the CCD out of the Z6 and replace it with one from a Canon. There's a blue cast on the images when I set the light to SUN. I bought it because it had a great lens, a decent body, interchangeable lenses and filters, and lots of control options.
