Well there was ALOT of reviews about the Konica Minolta Dimage z series cameras. Alot being good and alot of bad ones. Im a student and actually sell cameras. I didnt have a huge amount of money for a camera and I got my z5 for a smoking deal. Ive sold quite a few. I absolutely love the design, awesome color, great feel when holding. The card door is flimsy looking but cant see it becoming a huge issue. After reading the reviews here and on other forums, I eventually took the plunge. I love ...

I purchased the z5 about 5 months ago. For the most part I have been pretty happy. I have gotten some exceptional pics and some not so good.(lots of noise in the prints)Especially in low light conditions. Problems: I have been having some issues with the image sizes, pictures that are excellent on sceen, the prints come out "cut off" I have not quite figured the sizing adjustment out.

Bought it 8 months ago and have been very pleased with it since. Love the big zoom and the image stabilization. Menu system and handling are good. I prefer normal AA NiMH batteries, they are cheap, powerful and easy-to-get. Battery life are very good with my Uniross 2300 mAh . I don't understand why someone describe the body as flimsy! OK, the memorycard door opens very easily, but have any of you actually lost it or the card? It's right, there's a lot of noise i low light conditions. So I ...

First off, I’m submitting my opinion, because whenever I buy anything, I always look for others input on the internet. Just giving back what I take. I’m an expert, by no means, but I’m very picky about product engineering and picture quality. I’ve had the camera for about 3 months and taken hundreds of pictures with it. Pros Can’t say enough about the power of the image stabilization feature. I found with my last camera that most of the manual settings as well as the pre programmed settings ...

Okay, so I've had this camera in my hands multiple times throughout the day, I've sold the Z1, Z2, Z3 and I am very impressed with the upgrades they've made. From a sales perspective, the clearly labeled on/off switch is wonderful. You have no idea how many people couldn't figure out how to turn the previous cameras on and off. The zoom is easy to use, it's very comfortable to hold. Now to all the people complaining about noise and the zoom not being accurate enough: This camera is not ...

The Good: Love the progressive mode! I used this mode to take fast sequence shots of ATV riding and doing jumps and of my dog jumping up and catching his frisbee... awsome shots are caught! Very fun to use ! Eager to take it snow skiing! Nice looking camera that works well for my hands, which are a small average. Good for one handed controlling. The 12x IS zoom is very good and fun to use, except as I mention below. Problems: Having trouble focusing, especially in low light indoors or even ...

After shooting 1000 photos, I subscribe to Simon Joinson's review while adding some details in decreasing order of relevance: 1 - Construction seems subject to dust and moisture issues: the lens barrel accumulates dust inside the camera and the SD card door allows you to see the circuit board inside. Because it is so easy to open, I'm afraid this will be an entry point for dust. In my unit, there is a tiny orifice (an assembly imperfection) in the TFT window that worries me in case I take ...

So now I can revise my last opinion. First of all I have to say that it's my first digital camera, but I know something about computer graphics and till now I had a SLR. I have Z5 for 4 days and I took about 200 pictures. The fist thing worth notice is that z5 make good, sharp and bright macros. Daylight's pictures are also very good, but I'm not quite satisfied with photos in darker places or made with artificial light. In these conditions you have to choose between higher sensitivity (iso) ...

Excellent zoom, good focus. Good pictures if you don't take them with auto settings. Problems: Auto settings are giving bad pictures. Whitebalance is not working well for indoor pictures. Default sharping is set to soft. Shutter time could have a bigger range.
