Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z2

This camera is used for over 2 years as "family cam". Images are very clear and bright, even higher ISO-settings are usable if you don´t make big prints. Autofocus is very fast and good. My parents use the camera in Auto-mode, I with M, A or S - it makes no really difference, the pictures are always very good. I was surprised that they were better than the pictures of my Canon Powershot S3 IS. I think it beats the shit out of some today 8MP upwards "style cams" and even some other "megazooms". ...

The Z2 is easy to use, has many settings, accessories, and encourages creativity. The size is great, perfect for portability, and the zoom is exceptional. I really enjoy using this camera. Problems: This camera does have a slight problem with lens flare. Silhouettes, if not taken properly will result in small to medium size red flare dots.

This camera was purchased following semi-extensive research (of course, before I knew of this site!). Our other choice was a Kodak (similar in price) and I wished I had bought the Kodak. I've bought KM Z2 in jully 2004 and took A LOT of pics from then. I use it for outdoor/architecture/portrait photography but also for home/family use. This camera is really great for outdors shots and it never dissapointed me in good and average light conditions. Its the last Z series that U can buy and have satisfaction with image quality. I bought my Z2 in October 2004 at 299 EURO. I didn't want to buy it at that time, I don't like it looks, and it seems fragile. All others Z series (except Z1) seems to be more robust. After using several friends' cameras we settled on the Z2 as the one to own. Picture quality is excellent and we did not see much noise in the picture as some other users have mentioned. Great camera for the money...I replaced a Canon G3. This camera with its excellent quality 10X lens blows the Canon away. Focus is fast, shutter lag almost non existent, and image quality as good if not better than Canon, Olympus or Nikon. The only difference is the price and the Z2 is a bargain. Problems: No problems

I bought the Z2 under pressure -- I was about to go off on vacation and my Olympus C750 Ultrazoom died on me after less than a year of use -- and was looking for a camera with similar features.
