This camera is used for over 2 years as "family cam". Images are very clear and bright, even higher ISO-settings are usable if you don´t make big prints. Autofocus is very fast and good. My parents use the camera in Auto-mode, I with M, A or S - it makes no really difference, the pictures are always very good. I was surprised that they were better than the pictures of my Canon Powershot S3 IS. I think it beats the shit out of some today 8MP upwards "style cams" and even some other "megazooms". ...

The Z2 is easy to use, has many settings, accessories, and encourages creativity. The size is great, perfect for portability, and the zoom is exceptional. I really enjoy using this camera. Problems: This camera does have a slight problem with lens flare. Silhouettes, if not taken properly will result in small to medium size red flare dots.

This camera was purchased following semi-extensive research (of course, before I knew of this site!). Our other choice was a Kodak (similar in price) and I wished I had bought the Kodak. The Z2 holds it's own outside in good natural lighting. Coloring is above average and shots are quick. The camera refreshes fairly well, except in the continuous mode (I'm guessing the SD card's write speed is the limiting factor). Set the camera to manual (outdoors) and you can "play" with settings until ...

I've bought KM Z2 in jully 2004 and took A LOT of pics from then. I use it for outdoor/architecture/portrait photography but also for home/family use. This camera is really great for outdors shots and it never dissapointed me in good and average light conditions. Its the last Z series that U can buy and have satisfaction with image quality. Z3 and 5 have more mpix on the same sensor wich causes extreme noise even on low iso. In Z2 it isn't so annoying. Many many many many and i mean many ...

I am a digital camera connisseur. My first camera was a Polaroid PDC640 and my newest is the Minolta Dimage Z2. I have done a lot of research and knew what I wanted in an almost SLR digital and the Z2 fits the bill exactly. It is an excellent camera. It gives a fully automatic shot for those who want a point and shoot and offers a nice full manual mode for those who want more control. The picture quality is excellent, some have said that the photos need post processing, I say they ...

I bought my Z2 in October 2004 at 299 EURO. I didn't want to buy it at that time, I don't like it looks, and it seems fragile. All others Z series (except Z1) seems to be more robust. But my gf like it very much and persuade me to buy. After using it for 4 months, I did not regret at all. This is a fantasic Camera. You won't got any other dc better than z2 at 299 euro. With 4 fully charged AA 2300mAh Ni-MH, it seems like I never need to change the batteries. The full auto mode works great and ...

I have had the Z2 for about 6 months now. Most of my photography is taken outdoors, either sports/action or people and places. I had a an SLR with 28 to 300 do-everything style lense. I had taken my wifes little pocket digital camera on a cycling trip and afterwords decided to take the digital plunge myself. I wanted something with minimal shutter lag and good zoom. This camera certainly does both. I have been very pleased with all outdoor shots that had any kind of decent lighting, ...

After using several friends' cameras we settled on the Z2 as the one to own. Picture quality is excellent and we did not see much noise in the picture as some other users have mentioned. The S-macro is simply amazing and seems to be better than most SLR macros I've used. Combined with the Vivid Color mode, we got some incredible close-up detail shots of flowers, leaves, etc that we are going to enlarge and display as "art". One major consideration was the 10X zoom. We were concerned ...

Great camera for the money...I replaced a Canon G3. This camera with its excellent quality 10X lens blows the Canon away. Focus is fast, shutter lag almost non existent, and image quality as good if not better than Canon, Olympus or Nikon. The only difference is the price and the Z2 is a bargain. Problems: No problems

I bought the Z2 under pressure -- I was about to go off on vacation and my Olympus C750 Ultrazoom died on me after less than a year of use -- and was looking for a camera with similar features. In comparison with the C750 I'm very happy, for the following reasons: 1. The Z2's menu is far easier to access, configure and modify. 2. It focuses much faster and more accurately than the Olympus. 3. Battery life is simply stupendous, even in sub-zero temperatures. 4. Zoom speed is waaaay faster than ...
