Very, very good and nice camera. Expecially after updating firmware (3.38a) the camera is much similar to my G500 and G600. It perform very well outdoor with natural colors and sharpness in all photo's surface. Problems: Some weaknes in low light.

Firstly my credentials - I am an amateur photographer but I teach advanced Photoshop.. Secondly - I absolutely Love this little camera and have probably shot more photos on it than my other cameras combined (Currently Nikon F80 (Film) and D70 (DSLR)) This review is a little late, seeing as the Model is no longer in production - but I prefer it to the latter models i.e 510Z and the 600..... because it just looks so bloody good!!. I really think they got the design 'right' on this model... and ...

Excellent buy for $338 at Sam's Club. This little camera is a lot more than the specs would lead one to expect. The auto-focus works well, even in the macro mode (just took some product shots). The resolution is excellent, and the contrast is very high. There may be too much in camera processing for some, but for the intended market, this is a good thing (most DSLRs have less sharpening and contrast, as well as saturation as the default). Fast, small, light, and easy to use - the ...

Just bought this camera, had Konica 310Z before this one and 200Z befor that one. This is a wonderful digital camera. The pictures are awesome. Lacking manual controls, but can be programmed into the buttons on the back of camera. EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT MACROS PICTURES!!!! Battery life is good, can purchase extra battery on ebay for $10.00. Will need at least 256 SD memory due to high pixels. Purchased for $399. on Costco online. This is a great value for a 5.0 camera! Problems: I have ...

Great image quality, better than many other 5 megapixel cameras, even those that have lots of pro features. Very quiet, fast zooming, fast startup, good focusing (except in very low light). Very good build quality. I think it is probably the best pocket-size digital you can currently buy. Although this camera does not have some of the advanced features (direct control over shutter speed, aperture, focusing), you can do amazingly well by using exposure compensation, exposure and focus locking. ...

Fabulous camera!! Proud owner for over a week now. Very easy to use, superb image quality. Very solid construction. Out of the box, and click and go. Didn't need to read the manual to make goof pictures. (Did it afterwards). Outdoor pictures have very good and realistic colours. The macro setting is also very good. The battery lasts very long. Over 250 pictures. If you don't want to mess with manual settings, and still want semi-pro quality this is THE camera. Problems: The red-eye setting ...

I confess to having owned this camera for less than a day, but as I have a few million pictures behind me, using various types of cameras since boyhood (from Hasselblad 6x6 to Minox GL) I think my verdict is pretty un-biased. During these 24 hours I have had a number of problems with downloading the pictures into my PC (running Win ME), both when downloading direct and via a SD reader. BUT, apart from that, it has been a pure pleasure! The pictures are a tiny bit over-exposed, the red-eye ...

KO -NICA Its a knockout. We may not expect much in the quality area from a point-and-shoot camera but Konica have managed to make it simple and sharp. The pictures from this tiny metal model are astonishingly great. Almost in par with any larger slr type five meg model. I have it as backup for my Sony 717 slr which performs excellently - and uses 'Memory Stick' storage. But it does not slip into the pocket! The Konica is well constructed - though the sliding door DOES scrape the body, ...

This is one excellent camera. One of the biggest things with me is how something is made and the quality of the materials used in its construction. The KD-500 gets full marks from me. Particularly because of it's metal body. I hate things made out of plastic. Plastic is just cheap. Before I bought the KD-500, I was using the Canon S-110. Great camera, and again metal body. I looked at the Canon 4 meg cameras...plastic bobies. Waytago Canon, you blew it with me. Anyway, for the person who said ...

excellent camera, very sharp images, good battery, feels very solid but the lens cover (wich is also the on/off switch) leaves marks on the body. I'm not interested in the features; for daily family use it is enough. Problems: Red eye reduction does not always give acceptable results. In general with digicams: Provide better storage (more mb) even if this means the price goes up!
