Konica Minolta Digital Cameras and Lenses

Formed by the merger of Konica and Minolta in 2003 (both companies having long, illustrious histories in both film and digital photography), Konica Minolta pulled out of the camera business three years later, selling the DSLR business to Sony (forming the basis of its Alpha lineup). Both companies were active from the earliest days of consumer digital cameras, and Minolta in particular produced a number of critically acclaimed bridge and SLR models and introduced several innovations, including sensor-shift stabilization.
